Classic Rover Mini 1275 SPI Sidewalk Special Edition

Sadly this lovely looking little mini is up for sale due to a change in personal circumstances.  

Since purchasing the vehicle on the 28th September 2014 it has mainly be laid up in the garage during which time the MOT lapsed while finding time to fit a number of items as follows:-

Adjustable tie bars & bushes. hi-lo's (x4). dampers (x4). knuckles (x4). adjustable lower arms & bushes. bump stops. damper bracket. cone springs (x4). longer track rod ends. radius arm repair kit (x2). steering rack gaiter (x2).

Original style KN Minator 10” wheels that I found on ebay that had been stored unused for over 20 years which have the more period looking lip than the trendy machined finish available in recent years.   These were fitted with Yokohama 10/165/70 A008 tyres. and the correct wheel nuts (original fitment 12” steel wheels & tyres included in sale).

To fit the 10” wheels I sourced some Specialist Components Monoblock calipers (£432. 00) which after a lot of research seemed to offer the best product. and the required Cooper ‘S' drive flanges. 7. 5” brake discs. braided brake hoses. mintex M1144 brake pads.

For the age of the vehicle it is in very good condition having benefitted from caring owners who have maintained it to a high standard as can be seen by the history details below. but please remember it is a 20 year old vehicle which has been used.   You may wish to raise the vehicle slightly (easily done using the hi-lo's) to avoid clearance issues however I found it suited my partner and I.

Vehicle sailed through its MOT in January this year with no advisories.   Current mileage is 39263 miles. which is unlikely to change significantly since the vehicle is not in regular use.

Rover Mini Sidewalk first registered 1st August 1995. purchased by second owner on the 10th October 1997 with a recorded mileage of 2985 miles from Rover dealership Marshall of St. Neots (Cambridgeshire).

Original V5 present showing 1st owner details when purchased by second owner. who then owned the vehicle for nearly 17 years.

There are 23 road fund license tax discs present from 8th April 1999 to the last tax disc application made on 25th March 2014. varying in 6-12 month fees.   After which the tax disc was abolished.

On the 17th April 1996 at a recorded mileage of 774 miles the vehicle received a 1k miles service.   Service book stamped.

On the 7th October 1997 at a recorded mileage of 2985 miles the vehicle received a 6k miles service.   Service book stamped.

On the 11th January 1999 at a recorded mileage of 4603 miles the vehicle received a 12k mile service.   Invoice present (£151. 45).   Service book stamped.

On the 22nd March 2000 at a recorded mileage of 10701 miles the vehicle received a service.   Service book stamped.

On the 3rd May 2001 at a recorded mileage of 18592 miles the vehicle was given a 60k mile service.  Invoice present (£462. 91).   Service book stamped.

On the 12th June 2002 at a recorded mileage of 23098 miles the vehicle received a 72k mile service.   Maintenance check sheet. corrosion warranty annual inspection. and visual health check paperwork present.   Invoice present (£318. 38).   Service book stamped.

On the 5th August 2002 at a recorded mileage of 23265 miles the vehicle received a replacement OSF sub frame mounting due to MOT failure.   Invoice present.

On the 28th January owner purchased  MWS 12” minilite style wheels (x4) with Yokohama A539 165/60/12 tyres.   Invoice present (£320. 00).

On the 8th May 2003 at a recorded mileage of 25368 miles the vehicle received a 84k mile service.   Maintenance check sheet. and visual health check paperwork present.   Invoice present (£831. 29).   Service book stamped.

On the 7th January 2005 at a recorded mileage of 27449 miles the vehicle received a 96k mile service.   Maintenance check sheet. and visual health check paperwork present.   Invoice present (£298. 94).   Service book stamped.

On the 9th May 2006 at a recorded mileage of 28439 miles the vehicle received a a 12k mile service.   Maintenance check sheet paperwork present.   Invoice present (£162. 00).   Service book stamped.

On the 6th August 2008 at a recorded mileage of 31510 miles the vehicle received a 12k mile service.   Maintenance check sheet paperwork present.   Invoice present (£426. 87).   Service book stamped.

During late 2009 and early 2010 the vehicle was subject to restoration work at Derek's Mini Centre. Willenhall (West Midlands) totalling £4774. 61.   Quotation breakdown. photographs. and record of additional work documented.   Since the paintwork has been completed. in places some micro blistering of the finish has occurred.   I don't find that it is overly apparent. and it is difficult to show in any photographs.

On the 21st May 2010 at a recorded mileage of 32722 miles the vehicle received a 48k mile service.   Maintenance check sheet paperwork present.   Invoice present (£541. 05).   Service book stamped.

On the 8th of March 2013 at a recorded mileage of 34573 miles the vehicle received an extensive service. including a replacement gearbox & differential. new clutch. and new radiator.   Invoice present (£1506. 82).   Service book stamped.

On the 14th of August 2013 at a recorded mileage of 35643 the vehicle received replacement front brake discs. front brake pads. and front brake calipers.   Invoice present (£531. 05).
