Upgrades include: servo assisted brakes. electronic ignition. stainless steel exhaust system. alternator and reversing camera. Vehicle benefits from partition and original metal racking and external ladder rack.  
The Postal Engineering section was formed in 1969 to maintain and repair lighting and electrical power aspects of the business. including sorting office equipment. Fleet No. 282012 'Emily' was based at Harrow and is one of a limited number of vehicles painted red with a distinctive white band.
