1953 MG TD MK2 sporting the rare TD3 engine. Restored to Exhibition standard with detailed engine bay.
This beautiful TD is an ex Florida LHD car supplied with a vast array of documentation including a reproduction MG Car Co Guarantee which gives the date on which the car's chassis was "laid down" on the production line at Abingdon.
The car has an interesting history originally being exported from Abingdon to America sometime in early 1953. We are in receipt of information about two of the previous owners whilst in America. a Mr David Mosley of Daytona who acquired the car in June 1982 and sold it to a Mr Colburn on the 4th February 1991. The vehicle was then sold to a Classic Car dealership Rader's Relics of Florida in March 2000 and purchased by the last owner Mr Keith Brookfield and shipped to Guernsey on the 3rd April 2000. The vehicle has a history of restoration and documentation from Mr David Colburn who carried out new leather. paint. tyres. gauges. gaskets etc. The vehicle is presented in really excellent order. starting on the button and pulling strong through all gears with good oil pressure. The lustrous black bodywork is totally unblemished. A delightful motorcar offering nostalgic moments of the bygone age of motoring.
Comes with V5 logbook. New MOT. History File. For more info call or text John on 07909 231414.
