Jaguar XJS-C with just 24000 miles on the clock. Only around 100 left. Satin beige with tan leather interior Right hand drive. will be sold with a full years MOT. Possibly the lowest mileage example you are lightly to see- good investment potential

good points:

low mileage

great engine and smooth transmission- very little use

no body corrosion underneath- never driven on salted roads

Alloy wheels look very smart- not corroded as they often are

Sub-frames in great condition ( but light surface corrosion around front sub frame because powder-coated surface has come off just needs some paint to make good)

very original condition- no modifications- even the roof stowage bags are still there as is the Jaguar first aid kit.

loads of history

Bad points

non structural on extreme lower edge of driver's door ( easy repairs) a few very shallow dents to upper bodywork from previous owners children ( simple job for dent devils).

Woodwork needs re-varnishing ( but burr elm veneer is still ok) the rear window needs renewing ( easy to get done). there is a tiny one inch  tear in drivers seat piping - another easy repair. otherwise the interior has had little use.

Some electrical glitches ( door window motors and wing mirrors. air con) almost certainly due to non use and probably a corroded fuse.

The car is my own but I am selling it from my workplace so there is space to test drive. viewing recommended. I restore classic cars and so am happy to discuss making repairs as part of the sale.

May be able to deliver the car.

Advertised elsewhere so I may finish the auction elsewhere.

EXTRA NOTE

This car is being re-auctioned due to another time waster. Do not bid on this car if you do not want to buy it.

I was sent through some questions regarding this car during it's last auction and so add just to clarify:

The car has a odometer in Kilometers but the mileage is correct.

The car recently was taken for an MOT which it failed. However almost All the faults and advises were completely over the top ( a rust scab under one sill constituted corrosion worthy of advising etc. )

All faults and most advises have been sorted out except that crazing of the fuel injector rubber pipes which is not a fail and the next owner can do plus the tyres  were said to be perishing but I have been all over them and can see no sign of a problem. There was said to be a knocking ( there was) but this has now gone and I am wondering if this was simply because the car was stored on axle stands and the suspension has now settled.

It has also been pointed out that the car is in fact a Cabriolet and not a convertible. This I realise but having already been misplaced in other advertisements I decided to present it this way. In actual fact the Cabriolet is quite a rare variant and one or two commentators are tipping that they will start to rapidly increase in value over the next few years.

On 21-Jun-16 at 08:52:55 BST. seller added the following information:

Additional information:

the surface corrosion mentioned on the advise sheet from the last MOT on the sub-frames has now been sorted out.

The car has a speedometer in Kilometers because it was originally sold in Hong Kong when it was a British colony. It is RHD and properly registered.

There is much but not complete service history. Most of the gaps in the history are where the car was in storage.

The mileage can be verified through Jaguar dealer receipts .

The hood is watertight but it needs a new plastic ( everflex?) window. I can get this done for the next owner if required . If so please allow around £250 for the trimming costs.
