Opel GT. 1900Auto. (Gitte)

Gitte has been in our family since 1993.
In 94-95 she went through a major restoration. then being about 48. 00 miles & 23 years old.
We have all the photographic details of that restoration……
and now. in 2013 some 20 years later. she's been restored again!…
more photographs and history. She is completed. (save the odd bit of trim
which is on order/waiting to be fitted).  

What can I tell you about her is….
We've owned her since 1993. she has just covered another 18. 00 miles.
Between 2002 - 2011. she sat in the garage because we were all busy doing other things.
Life can be a bit like that.
We rebuilt the engine and we've rebuilt the automatic gearbox. so both are about 10. 00 miles only and of course are like brand new.
She is running on her original running gear. so no modifications
have been done with exception of one thing.
we converted her to a Kenlow Cooling Fan.
This works much more efficiently than the original and doesn't make so much noise! 
Auto box is quite sporty too & saves a lot of unnecessary led work :-). so it's no slow coach.

But honestly. this car is about image. br>because no matter where you are with her. she turns heads. almost all of them!
There are few cars in the classic world that are this pretty.  

This second complete restoration has bought her back to even better condition
than in 1995 and is honestly best be described as near perfect. (nice for shows etc).
The interior is bright red. as are the seats.
We've had the seat belts updated to inertia real belts &
new carpets fitted. otherwise. nothing much has changed at all.  
The radio is currently a 2000's JVC. but 
I'm trying to locate a period Pioneer which was fitted in the 80's. The old one
was 'removed' by an unwanted guest! 

So why is she for sale?…… I'm afraid I'm not so young any more and climbing out of her is near impossible.
This is a young persons car. full of life. style. unique charm & unarguably stunning looks.
She needs a (good) new home. She must live inside. so if you don't have a garage.
I won't sell her to you! If you don't understand cars. don't buy Gitte.
You need to have some basic knowledge.  

The restoration costs this time are in excess of €10. 00.
the restoration was carried out this time in The Netherlands.
The workmanship is excellent. any inspection is welcome of course!….
