1996 DAIMLER DOUBLE SIX Spruce Green

1996 Daimler Double Six in very good condition with 12 months MOT. Just serviced with genuine jaguar oil filter and Castrol XL 20W/50 as recommended by Jaguar. Very few miles done since service last year but needs to be done with this age of Jag. In storage from 2011 until last year when i purchased it. I have spent over £850 on recommissioning costs. Some service history but no service book.

Engine is in very good order with no smoke and pulls very well. GM4L80-E Gearbox is good apart from a whine in first gear when in sport mode. Have been told not to worry too much about this as even GM have said its pretty normal. I actually like it as it makes it sound supercharged. ah yes silly i know. Fluid is still pink with perfect gear changes and kickdown. Gearbox filter and Gasket(genuine jag) and 20L Mobil 320 ATF(much superior to DEX3) included in sale as i was going to change it. Coolant system flushed and replaced with 50/50 universal coolant. No overheating issues and electric fans kick in when needed. Power steering fluid replaced due to leaking pipe from tank to pump. replaced with genuine Jaguar pipe. Brakes all good with recent front brake discs and pads. Would need rear brake shoes before next mot. Suspension all good with 2 new front Bilstein shocks. Alloys and tyres good but could do with refurb to make perfect. Induction air filters fitted. Engine bay toolkit is new old stock.

Bodywork excellent but not perfect with some minor blistering to bottom of rear window so rust treated and touched up. Sunroof has some very minor blistering and has been treated and touched up. Neither of these have got any worse in my ownership and are not rotten. Underneath is very solid with no welding done or needs to be done and all areas including wheel arches treated with Dinitrol RC900 and undersealed with 2 coats of Hammerite with added Waxoyl.
Electricals all good with no problems. Sunroof perfect working order and even has power folding wing mirrors. Radio/tape good but CD changer in boot takes fits and wont work sometimes.

Interior in superb condition with perfect leather and wood. Carpets perfect but lambswool mats missing. Headliner has drooped at rear so just stapled up. Best interior of any Jaguar/Daimler i have ever had.  

Car is located in N. Ireland. Price reflects condition and faults of car but i am not looking £5k-8k like some are. My descriptions are always very accurate and honest. Includes delivery to Cairnryan ferry port if asking price is met. Birkenhead £100 extra.
