RE-LISTED!  PREVIOUS BUYER HAS OPTED OUT. THE LESSON FOR ALL IS THAT YOUR PHONE CAN BE USED BY YOUR 14 MONTH OLD CHILD TO PURCHASE ANYTHING! I'M RELEASING THE PREVIOUS BUYER FROM HIS OBLIGATIONS. DON'T LEAVE YOUR PHONE LAYING AROUND FOR OTHERS TO USE. IT WASTES MY TIME!. As of 02/08/16 the previous purchaser still hasn't completed his end of cancelling the purchase. so I was good enough to let him out of his obligation but now he makes me wait for my refund from ebay. (oCk!
Anyway. a couple of new photo's added to show repairs to roof. unfortunately I can only add 2 as the more I add the more I have to delete. so 2 it is.
PRICE INCREASE. YES A PRICE INCREASE!  THE ROOF HAS NOW BEEN REPAIRED!  NEW SECTIONS HAVE BEEN WELDED IN ON BOTH SIDES WHERE REQUIRED. REAR WINDSCREEN HAS BEEN REMOVED AND  RUST AROUND TOP OF WINDOW HAS BEEN REPAIRED. PASSENGER SIDE GUTTER SECTION HAS BEEN REPAIRED!. BUT THIS DOESN'T COME FOR FREE!!!  SO THE PRICE HAS BEEN INCREASED!  WHY BOTHER I HEAR YOU SAY?  BECAUSE ALL THE SO-CALLED EXPERTS OUT THEIR SAID IT COULDN'T BE DONE!.   IT'S DONE!!!
NEXT I WILL REPAIR THE REAR PARCEL SHELF AND BOOT - REAR WINDOW PANEL. AGAIN THE PRICE WILL GO UP TO REFLECT THIS. DON'T WANT TO PAY AN INCREASED PRICE?  THEN STOP TALKING ABOUT THIS CAR. STOP SPENDING YOUR TIME ON VARIOUS FORUMS (ALL POPULATED BY THE SAME EXPERTS THAT SAID THE ROOF COULDN'T BE FIXED!) AND BUY THE CAR!  AFTER THE BOOT / REAR WINDOW PANEL IS REPLACED I'LL REPAIR THE REST OF THE BOOT THEN THE REAR 1/4'S AND SO ON. UNTIL IT'S ALL DONE. THE PRICE WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE TO REFLECT MY TIME / MONEY INVESTED. EVENTUALLY IT WILL REACH THE POINT THAT I JUST WON'T SELL IT!!
UPDATED PHOTO'S TO BE ADDED SOON.

Here for your consideration is this rare XB GS Falcon Coupe in super rare Skyview Blue with factory Vinyl Roof.   An unbelievably rare colour with the rare addition of factory vinyl roof!!!!. yep!
To make this even more appealing. original matching numbers!  Yep. engine matches plates. plates match shell. never been removed!
To add to this there is currently factory in-dash air-conditioning.   I can't confirm if this was part of the original build or whether this was added at some time.   The presence of the Landau centre console would suggest this was added at some point.
This was to have been my personal restoration project and in preparation I had purchased new sills. sourced a replacement plenum (from and XC but has all the required sections which are identical). purchased 2 completely rust free guards and purchased many more parts to complete the mechanical side of things.   There are obviously still some parts missing but you'll find that most are actually in the boot ready to go.
Now the car does have rust issues.   FIXED  ***   FIXED  The vinyl roof has led to 2 strips on the roof rusting out from front to rear (as pictured).   I had started preparing for this repair but other projects got away from me. at the end of the day it's a job for a professional to ensure a professional result! FIXED  *** FIXED.
The outer sills are rusted out however inner sills. including all seatbelt mounting points are solid.   I am including a pair of reproduction sills with the sale.   Rear 1/4's also have rust but the wheel houses themselves are largely rust free.   Again I have repair panels (cut from front guards) to repair this.   There is rust in the plenum however I have a replacement (included).   Finally there is rust around the boot and beneath the rear window (like all of these coupes).   Notwithstanding the appearance and obvious rust issues the rest of the vehicle is very solid with only minor patching required to very small sections of floor and a couple of minor rust repairs elsewhere. most of which would be addressed during the repairs as detailed.   The original GS bonnet with bonnet lock recesses is included.   The bonnet frame is rusted however the skin is very good. the bonnet on the car has a rusted skin but good frame. from 2 a good panel shop will produce 1.
Engine has never been started by me. it came into my possession in much the same condition you see it now.   I purchased all the necessary components to get it running but never progressed any further than that.   I can't confirm the condition of the engine however the previous owner took this car off the road due to the rust issues so I can only assume that it was driving!
Interior has all the important stuff. seats & dash!  I believe the centre console is a Landau item. not really my thing and I had planned on going back to original and relocating the a/c controls back to the dash.
Plenty of other good parts included. mainly mechanical parts - including complete power steering set-up. factory a/con compressor and pulleys / brackets. donor drivers door (good frame. lower skin needs replacing).
Ultimately I'll let the photo's do the talking.   If you think this is a quick resto you're wrong. it requires a full ground up restoration but will be well worth it when done!
I'm listing this again. reluctantly!   No time to do anything more with this at the moment and I'd rather it find a new home than be neglected.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOW A BUY IT NOW LISTING.   I HAVE ADDED THE OPTION OF BEST OFFER. REASONABLE OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED. LOW OFFERS WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DECLINED.

PAYMENT:
Payment is to be made by means of immediate deposit payment of $2. 00 via Paypal. the balance to be paid by Electronic Funds Transfer to my nominated bank account.   Full payment must be received before the vehicle will be released.   As a winning bidder your enter into a legally binding contract to purchase.   Failure to follow through with your purchase is inconvenient to me and to other e-bay users. at the very least you will receive negative feedback to warn others about you.   If you don't have the money don't bid.

SHIPPING:
This vehicle is for local pickup only.   Notwithstanding this you are welcome to arrange transport to your destination by means of car carrier however please note. very few car carriers will transport an non-running vehicle and almost none will transport additional items in the boot / passenger compartment. so you'll need to arrange collection of all the other parts by other means.

INSPECTION:
Inspection will be available on a day / time specified by me.   This has been listed for a total of 30 days previously (3 x 10 day listings). f all the people who wanted to see it only one showed up. so I won't be wasting my time sitting around waiting for people who will never show up.  .
WARRANTY:
Stating the really obvious here. This vehicle is a restoration project. it is neither running nor driveable.   It requires a full restoration and therefore no warranty is offered or implied in any way!

On 02-Jun-16 at 21:58:16 AEST. seller added the following information:

For those who may still be a little unsure of the pedigree and significance of this vehicle I provide the following information…. This is all from the Identification Plate.

.

MODEL:                18313                    =             Falcon 500 Hardtop Coupe.

ENGINE:               Y                              =             4. 9L 2V 8 CYLINDER HIGH COMPRESSION.

TRANS:                 L                              =             Manual 4 Speed Floor Change All Synchro

TRIM:                    B                             =             Black interior.

PAINT:                  C                             =             Sky View Blue.

This is a very rare colour and when coupled with the vinyl roof / GS pack and 4 speed manual / V8 combination is likely to be a one-off.

As far as rust is concerned some have expressed concern in relation to the roof.   While it's not an easy repair for the inexperienced welder it is quite simple for any experienced body shop and is certainly easier than most as the roof gutters / frame are virtually rust free so the structure is sound…. all it needs is repairs to the skin!  Given that this will then have a vinyl roof fitted the finish doesn't have to be to show standard!

Once the roof is fixed the only big repairs are the standard coupe rust areas such as sills / rear window and a few other minor sections however when compared to most coupes out there this one is very sound.

This is a very desirable vehicle being an original numbers matching GS V8 in a very rare colour scheme.   Don't let the appearance of this vehicle put you off…. yes it has some rust issues that will need addressing but at my reserve price (which is nearly met) this represents great value for money.   These vehicles are only going up in value each and every day and with today's value for similar restored cars nearing $70. 00 there is plenty of money left in the budget for a full restoration.

This car will be automatically re-listed if not sold this time round however I will not lower my reserve.   The reserve which has been set has been set based on similar sale prices for similar vehicles in a similar condition over the last 2 – 3 years and is a realistic minimum value.

I am not listing this vehicle anywhere else so it will not be removed.   Given the reserve is nearly met now is your time to secure this vehicle by placing a bid…. sit on your hands if you wish but you'll soon realise that this car and your opportunity to purchase it has passed!  Remember this is a numbers matching car with original engine. trans etc. etc. etc. . plates match car. engine matches plates…. this is hugely important in determining the final value of a car!  My reserve reflects all of this but when you consider there are a number of these being offered as projects at the moment which are missing their engines or plates mine is a far better prospect and at my reserve far better buying!!!

If not sold after the final automatic relist then it stays with me!

On 06-Jun-16 at 22:40:02 AEST. seller added the following information:

Okay. it seems the Australian public are scared of a little rust!
This car nearly reached its reserve last time round however didn't quite get there.   Please don't judge this car on it's immediate appearance. maybe my description is a little too honest. maybe I should have hit it with $50 worth of primer and described it as being "ready for paint". maybe I should have just completely ignored the bad points and concentrated only on the good. anyway. I'll provide a little more information instead!
The roof has rust in the skin along both sides where the sewn seam was in the vinyl roof.   This is repairable.   The gutters / internal structure of the roof is virtually rust free - what rust is in the gutter is a very simple repair.   The elongated strips of rust in the skin are easy enough to repair and certainly far easier than many of the rusted out projects I've seen sell for much more than my reserve!
The rear quarters are very good. they do have rust around the wheel openings (particularly the passenger side as pictured) however this again is very easily repaired.   The quarters themselves are free from any other damage and aren't full of filler either (most of the pale blue paint you see is original).
The boot is rusted around the seal area however all rusted areas are available as replacement parts from Rare Spares and other suppliers - a very simple fix.   The boot floor / wheel houses etc. are virtually rust free.
The outer sills are history.   Inner sills are almost perfect.   Floor is virtually perfect.
Passenger side a-panel (door hinge mounting area) is rusted however I have a rust free section cut from a donor vehicle to repair this.
Plenum has a small amount of rust which can be cut & plated or if you prefer there is a donor plenum included in the sale for a total replacement.
Front guards are 100% rust free. these cost me a small fortune!
All glass is present.
Tilt / Recline bucket seats are there.
The original engine is still sitting in the engine bay (don't waste your money restoring a non-numbers matching car. it will cost you the same to restore and be worth considerably less when done.
At my reserve price this is great value.   It is a relatively easy restoration.   look past the obvious rust and cosmetic blemishes to what lies beneath. believe me I've restored a lot of cars and this one is a very easy job. so much so. if it doesn't sell I'll be starting work on it immediately and offering it some time down the track with all rust repaired and with a significant price increase to match.
FINALLY. AND I CAN'T BELIEVE I EVEN HAVE TO PUT THIS IN THE LISTING.
This car is very near complete.   I've spent a ridiculous amount of time locating the correct parts that were missing from this car so NO I WON'T SELL YOU ANY PARTS OFF IT!  NO I WON'T SELL YOU THE PLATES. NO I WON'T SELL YOU THE SEATS.   NO I WON'T SELL YOU THE STAINLESS TRIM. You should get the picture by now that this car is not a parts car!

OKAY. I THINK I'VE MADE MYSELF CLEAR. THE PRICE IS NOW INCREASED TO REFLECT RUST REPAIRS TO THE ROOF / GUTTER. PRICE WILL GO UP AGAIN IN THE COMING DAYS TO REFLECT MORE TIME / MONEY INVESTED. SEEMS IT'S THE ONLY WAY TO SHOW ALL THE "EXPERTS" OUT THERE WHAT CAN BE DONE!
