Up for sale I have my partners baby as they are no longer able to drive due to vision loss and the car is not getting used so unfortunately its time to let it go from our collection. The vehicle is sound mechanically as I am a mechanic by trade and worked for some time in a SA MG work shop as an apprentice and a qualified mechanic. During my ownership it has had the cylinder head reconditioned the cooling system flushed and hoses heater tap etc replaced. New Moss Motors MGB LE repro steering wheel and door trims fitted. a Pioneer USB MP3 CD stereo fitted. new tail light lenses. centre console lid and a few other bits. The seats carpets etc are in very good condition. The hood with zip out rear window is near new and it comes with a full tonneau cover. The vehicle has a large file of invoices photo's etc going back to when it used to live in California and going through several owners. Unlike most rubber nose MGB's this car has had a performance engine built while in the US and has been fitted with a proper side float bowl twin SU carby set up from a Australian MGB. Body wise the paint is a little down and it has some very minor superficial never repaired before rust spots. As it was a California car for many years the body is still very solid with no floor or frame rust just some minor cosmetic rust spots. I looked for several years before I bought this car as I wanted something I could drive regularly and leave in carparks etc without having to worry about it getting dirty or scratched but was still solid and reliable. It would make a perfect entry level MG or a daily run around for a MG enthusiast who wants a car they can enjoy and use without having to watch what they do with it but still have good fun with the better performance than standard. I am open to reasonable offers on the vehicle but its 1 of 5 classic cars I have and if I don't get a fair price for it I don't need to sell it I would just rather it go to a home where it will get used and enjoyed again rather than me running it to work a couple of times a month and sitting in the shed for the rest of the time. Currently on historic reg which is not transferable
