What a lovely little treat with have here. back in 2012 this Morris Minor Saloon was found tucked away in a garage where it has been stored unused for 19 years.
The Morris was restored to show standard condition during the 1980's and was used for shows. rallies and events until 1993. From 1993 to 2012 the Morris was dry stored and occasionally turned by hand.
Residing at that pint in Ayton. near Scarborough in late 2012/early 2013 the Morris was put through a major re-commissioning programme.

Since 2012 the Morris has had a true fortune spent on work that now means the Morris can be driven and enjoyed with confidence. The petrol lift pump was stripped. re-assembled and re-fitted. the carburettor was stripped and rebuilt. the fuel tank was removed and cleaned out. the sender unit repaired and fuel pipes replaced. the radiator was re-cored. hoses replaced. the three speed gearbox removed and checked. the clutch stripped and re-fitted with new linings and both the starter motor and dynamo sent for re-conditioning. The brakes were stripped and re-set. all oils replaced. the steering greased. all suspension and links lubricated and the vacuum wipers refurbished. The dampers were rebuilt at considerable expense and further work included new shock absorber bushes. some re-wiring and the fitting of a brand new battery and four new tyres. The lovely. straight Morris bodyshell was then stripped down to bare metal and professionally re-painted in the correct Morris Oxford Blue with Cream door inserts.

This charming restored side valve Morris Minor still retains a large amount of originality and has some lovely features. The car has clearly been restored with retaining as much originality as possible in mind with its original under bonnet oil can in place and the fact the car is still on its original mechanical brakes shows it has never been modified or altered from standard specification.

The Morris is also a matching numbers car with its correct factory supplied engine still fitted. The Morris retains its original colours and valuable registration mark.

During 2013 the Morris covered in the region of 200 miles and was driven to Brooklands for the Austin Morris Day in March.

The car presents very well with a lovely paint finish. stunning upholstery and is in excellent mechanical condition having had thousands of pounds recently spent.
FH 7622 drives exceptionally well with a strong engine holding very good oil pressure and compressions.
The three speed gearbox is a delight to use and Morris handles and brakes well.
The Morris is ideal for weekend use. shows and rallies and is certainly one of the most stunning examples we have seen for many. many years.
