What you see here for sale is a Medium Turquoise Metallic 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente 2 Door Fastback    - this is a Rare Factory K Code 289 Cubic Inch (4. 7 litre) Windsor V8 Motor. with C4 Automatic Transmission & 3. 25:1 8" Diff 

 I brought this car in Barstow California and it has a very Low Humidy HOT Dry Dessert Climate - the car has never left California - It was Sold New there as it has Black Plates and Ordered New in Los Angeles Area !!!

It is definitely a project car but well worth the effort - I had it running today and motor sounds  good - it does not have any exhaust on it - so its real noisey  - it is a real original under the bonnet still has all the original generator and power steering pumps etc - will need to be mechanically checked thru including Steering Exhaust. Brakes and Suspension before it will be hitting the roads again of course

  It Can be Registered in all States a Left hand Drive - I have the Import Approval Permit etc .

  The Body is Rust Free - the previous owner was intending restoring the car and had stripped a few panels and primed - it is a real clean original paint car underneath that and will make a very nice car when done - There is a Bunch of Parts including Side Trims and Mouldings etc are in the boot - not sure if everything is there - but most of it seems to be - but expect that some will need repairs or finding

The Floors are Mint  - It will need a coat of paint to make it real nice again of course - but its still got the Original Paint on the car underneath that primer - so its a very good starting point - its got a few dings and dents around the place but most importantly there is no rust.

All the Glass is Real Nice and rolls up and down etc - I got a New Rear Window Rubber for it but have installed it yet.  

The Interior will need the Usual Stuff - Seat Covers Dash Pad & Carpets etc but I have all the original parts to start with ie seats. door trims etc - Included is a New Set f Moulded Carpets in Green to Match the interior

  Its getting impossible to find Rust Free 1964 Cars these days anywhere - Let alone a real cool looking Mercury Coupe  - Bench Seat Column Change so you can Register it as a 6 Seater - Will Make Great Sunday Car - or Great Candidate to make a great Classic Race Car   !!!
