Up for sale is my 1968 Dodge Charger factory big block car. I have owned the car for over two years and bought it from my friends at Classic Custom Imports.

It was sort of a barn find. The guy they bought it from over in the states found it in a garage all original with absolutely no rust and everything still working and running. This guy then decided to clean it up a little by giving the outside a new paint job. new vinyl roof. new carpet. new seat covers and new heater radiator.

The paint is not the best but for an unrestored car it holds its own easily. When I saw the condition of the body and undercarriage. knowing how prone these cars are to rust. I had to have it. As solid as it was back in 68! The mechanic said it was so original and clean. besides a few front-end steering things which I fixed. he gave me a RWC and I got it fully registered.

Initially I bought the car just to cruise and the 383 big block and 3 speed column shift was pretty good but eventually I decided I wanted more power. I sold the motor and box and replaced it with a 500ci stroker and full manual 727 torque flight transmission. The motor has a new gen block. Eagle rotating assembly with custom forged Diamond pistons and file fit rings. Up top are Edelbrock Victor heads and manifold with a lot of work done and a solid roller cam with new Morell roller lifters. Also. Smith Bros pushrods. stainless valves. roller rockers. Holley 1050 dominator carby. TTI 2" stepped headers and a host of other goodies which helped make 560hp at the treads. on the dyno. at Initial D Racing. Ignition and fuel are helped by an MSD 6AL box. MSD billet dizzy and Blaster coil and Magnafuel 350 fuel pump with 1/2" tank pickup and lines. An aluminium burnout king radiator keeps it all cool. The transmission is a full manual reverse pattern. rollerised. lightened 727 with tranbrake and TCE convertor and shifts via a TCI outlaw shifter. Up front I've installed disc brakes. solid engine mounts with engine torque bar and underneath now has a bolt in chassis connecter kit.

Out back I've beefed up the original 8 3/4" diff with a full spool. heavy duty yoke and 4:11 gears all from Yukon. Rear leafs have been retentioned and new heavy duty shocks fitted all round.  I also boxed the outer rear tubs to remove that notorious bump these cars have so it could be lowered nicely without rubbing. Rims are steel wheels 15x4 & 15x10's with dog dish hub caps and M/T SR front tyres and drag radial 295 30's on the back (not pictured). For carby clearance I replaced the original hood with a fibreglass unit and fitted a 68 Dodge Dart bonnet scoop all painted satin black. The car looks and sounds really tuff and turns heads everywhere I go. It comes with whatever spare parts I've got for it including the original bonnet.

My asking price is way lower than what she owes me as the running gear alone was over $30K! So please no low baller's or tyre kickers.

Genuine enquires only and inspection by appointment only.
