1978 'S' MGB GT (Sebring)

This MG is finished in the MG colour of Tahiti Blue with black interior piped in blue.

A Sebring bodykit is fitted (see photo).

The panel gap is excellent and the paint. chrome and stainless steel finish is stunning.

The boot is very solid (see photo) and the inner wheel arches cleaned and rust proofed. The complete interior floor has been rust proofed and sound proof fitted when the seats were removed for re trimming.

The engine has been bored to 1950cc having the head skimmed with bigger valves and re cut valve seats and runs on unleaded petrol.

An upgraded distributor is fitted with a Lumenition electronic ignition power performance kit and power module and coil fitted.

An alloy rocker cover. chrome oil cap. new plugs have been fitted with Ram air pipes with Piper air socks (see photo).

The SU carbs have been cleaned out.

The front springs have been uprated together with negative camber and Spax rear telescopic dampers fitted.

A stainless steel 1 cylinder exhaust is fitted giving a sporty throaty sound.

A Facet fuel is fitted in the boot (see photo).

Excellent Minilite 5. 5J style wheels with polished wheel nuts and centre caps are fitted riding on excellent Pirelli P3000 tyres (a Pirelli tyre is on the spare).

The engine and chassis numbers match as per HPI and V5.

Overdrive is fitted and works correctly and smoothly in 3rd and 4th gears.

It runs at the correct oil pressure and coolant temperature.

The interior is in superb condition with an excellent dash. carpets. door cards. roof lining. sun visors and a complete new seat trim set front and rear has been professionally fitted in March 2016 (see photo).

New MG logo rubber mats are fitted.

A 14"sports leather steering wheel is fitted and a working Motorola push button radio. ith Pioneer door speakers and a telescopic aerial.

An original tool bag contains jack and wheel brace.

There is a clear HPI certificate included for peace of mind.

Also there is a parts/history file with invoices from 1990 to present and MOT's from 1991 to present.

A handbook and workshop manual is included.

A new alloy Aston lockable fuel cap is fitted and a chrome Sebring badge is fitted to tailgate.

New number plates have been fitted with MGB GT Sebring logo.

2 sets of keys are included.

The performance upgrade and bodywork were done by a gentlemen who had the car from 1990 until 2013 (23 years) and included new inner and outer sills. castle rails. front wings and doors (invoices to back up).

This low ownership. stunning MG pulls strongly. must be viewed and could be used for track days or just that weekend trip in the country.

I have an agreed insurance written valuation from Footman James for £10. 00 (this was before the new interior was fitted) but could be yours for only £8995.
