In the 1990's. Lancia needed a replacement for their 2WD 037
world rally car which was being outclassed by the 4WD Audi Quattro.
To remain competitive. Lancia inserted its own 4WD technology into
the existing Delta platform to create the HF 4WD variant. This
model initiated the continuous development of the incomparable and
all-conquering HF Integrale which. from 1997 to 1992. claimed six
consecutive World Rally Championships. a feat never yet surpassed.
The HF 4WD evolved from the 8V Integrale to 16V Integrale. 16 EVO 1
to finally 16V EVO 2 with many production Stradale Special Editions
of which the Martini 6 commemorates Lancia's 6th WRC win at the end
of the 1992 season. Set apart from the standard Delta Integrale. br/>the Martini 6 was decorated in the iconic rally livery with stripes
running down each side of the car and around the centre of the
tailgate. Inside. the Recaro seats and interior trim were finished
in a unique teal Alcantara with HF logos on the headrests. A large
Lancia logo can be found on the rear of the roof and the
rear-mounted spoiler is emblazoned with the famous 'Martini Racing'
across it. replicating the rally-bred version. HF decals are
applied high on each rear side panel and a 'World Rally Champion'
badge adorns the tailgate along with the appropriate numeral '6'
commemorating said number of championships. Inside. a carbon-fibre
trim is fitted around the gear-lever and features a numbered plaque
below it with the limited edition serial number.

This car was number 44 of 310 and was owned from new by a
Fiat/Lancia group company. The car was especially finished by
Abarth resulting in it having unique features over other cars from
the series. The main differences are a blue-printed engine. br/>competition suspension set-up. electric rear wing. full length
brake vents on the front wings. The Martini 6 body decals
were only partially used and some of the body badging is Abarth not
Lancia (the unused decals are available with the car). The car was
owned by a Fiat/Lancia Group company from new (December 1992) until
March 2001 and was reportedly for the use of Eduardo Agnelli whose
family were the founders of Fiat. After Eduardo's death. the car
was put up for sale through a private dealer. The paperwork
supports this story but does not mention Mr. Agnelli. It was then
acquired and imported to the UK. During that time. he had one piece
of corrosion in the valance below the windscreen repaired by Wesson
Lancia. Nine years later when the vendor bought the car. he had the
paintwork fully restored and decals replaced to exactly the same
configuration with a photographic restoration record. Wesson Lancia
(now Restoshack) has maintained and stored the car since then and
has recently fitted a new clutch. With the MoT test certificate
valid until August 2016. this represents a truly unique opportunity
to acquire one the greatest motorcars of all time.

INTERESTED PARTIES SHOULD NOTE THAT PAUL BAKER. br/>VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE LANCIA OWNERS CLUB HAS CONFIRMED THAT THIS
CAR WAS ONCE THE PROPERTY OF GIOVANNI AGNELLI. THIS IS FURTHER
CONFIRMED BY HIS INITIALS. 44/AG. ENGRAVED ON A PLAQUE WITHIN
THE COCKPIT.
