Well what can I say about this extremely 'RARE & SOUGHT AFTER ROVER 12'. Royston was born in 1936 dressed in his original black coachwork complimented with red oxblood leather interior. Fully spoked wheels under the screw on hub caps. Superb engine that starts effortlessly and sounds great with a light clutch and smooth gearbox. Nearly 80 years young this handsome Rover has real presence and poise on the road and certainly turns many heads wherever he goes (and quite rightly so!!!).
Equipped with the original rear slung luggage rack that folds up into the rear bumper when not in use.
Solid preserved chassis and all leaf springs appear in great order throughout. The bodywork is in solid order with age related character (certainly not an unblemished showroom shine but I prefer my classics that have retained their history through their battle wounds!!).
Some of the wooden frame could do with replacing in places and the roof has been replaced with non-original vinyl but is watertight and perfectly presentable.
The red leather trim is in reasonable condition with cracking where it has become dry and untreated. All the glass appears original apart from the rear window which is perspex.
This vintage Rover12 drives great with a superb braking system and is a FANTASTIC INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY. NOT TO MISSED!!.
Original key and V5C present. Only 5 previous keepers.

The new 12 launched at the end of August 1933 was part of the new range introduced by the Wilks brothers. It had a new 1496 cc. four-cylinder engine producing 53 bhp. The chassis was also new but based on the one seen on the 1933 Speed Pilot and was "underslung" going under the rear axle. The four-speed transmission featured a freewheel mechanism. The suspension was conventional with rigid axles and half elliptic leaf springs all round. The early cars had a 112 in (2. 45 mm) wheelbase but this was stretched by 3 in (76 mm) for 1935 with the extra space giving the rear passengers more leg room. A top speed of 70 mph and economy of 24 mpg was claimed in contemporary advertisements.
The bodies were traditionally built with steel panels fitted to a wooden frame. A six light Saloon (£278). four light Sports Saloon with small external boot (£298) and four-seat tourer (£288) bodies were available. 5775 of this version were made. This car became known to enthusiasts as the P1.
Absolutely any inspection welcome and all part exchanges are welcome (absolutely anything considered).
There are not many of these around now and the few restored examples on the market are offered for sale at around £20. 00.
GREAT INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY THAT WILL ONLY APPRECIATE IN VALUE!!
