Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.25) based on 295 votes
This car has an extremely well built two seat plus dickey. created by the last owner over a period of many years. It has been particularly thoughtfully constructed. and done to a high standard. The body is very stylish. solidly put together. with a long. swoopy tail. and is in many ways reminiscent of an original Park Ward bodied 25/30 which we owned about 25 years ago. Very nice mechanically too. thoroughly refurbished. rewired. stainless steel exhaust and clean as a whistle underneath. Unusual. desirable. attractive and smart. and performing well. being a 25/30 with a relatively light. sporting body.

Chassis No. GGR57 Reg. No. VTK 555 £65. 00.

Snippets: Alderman to an Artist
The first owner was Alderman John Village. his profession was that of a company liquidator specialising in the construction industry – including “Rocket Land & Development Co Ltd”. “North John Estates Ltd”. “Mossley Hill Estates Ltd” & “Model Homes Ltd”. Alderman Village was so respected within his community that there is an Alderman John Village Park in Liverpool. It is not known how long Alderman Village kept GGR57 for but the next name on the chassis card is that of J. P. Whatley Esq of Thornton Cleveleys (the first inhabitants of the Flyde area is believed to be the Setantii Tribe with the earliest written reference being that in 2AD by Claudius Ptolemaeus a noted geographer & mathematician. ) During the late 1950s GGR57 was with Robin Noscoe – by all accounts an extraordinary art teacher; having flown Wellingtons & Blenheims during WWII when he demobbed the RAF gave Robin a grant to study Fine Art at Oxford. In 1949 he took the position of Head of Art at Canford where he taught the noted artist. designer & film maker Derek Jarman. there are various references to Robin as being “a goatee bearded. vintage Rolls driving art teacher”! Robin Noscoe courted & later married the School's Matron & together they designed & built Garden House (with the help of Robin's pupils) which was so eclectic in style that it was featured in World of Interiors Magazine in 2003.
