Offering a beautifully restored. well optioned 1966 Cutlass Convertible. This was a barn find which sat ( in the barn) from 1978 till 2012. There has been approx 6000 miles enjoyed since its frame -off restoration. Fully rebuilt 330. hi-compression. stock. except for a 442 cam. everything professionally done. not a detail missed. Has stock manifolds which are finished in Cast Iron last blast along with the block off plate to make it a true dual exhaust. Followed by 2 1/2 flowmaster exhaust with series 40 mufflers. Stock manifold using a Carter carb at the moment. ( have the original Rochester which was rebuilt. but had a problem. Along with the engine rebuild was all the accessories. hoses. aterpump. lt. reg. ires. ap. otor. ew distributor with electronic ignition. elts etc. An era correct gauge pack was also installed and had some custom fitting to allow an oil pressure gauge and light to be utilized. Equipped with the "JETAWAY" transmission with switch-pitch converter. which allows . in effect. having a 4 speed auto. I did not like the factory set-up thru the carb linkage. so I installed a custom spring loaded button on the right hand side of the t-handle shifter. neatly concealed and actually looks stock . It allows you to switch from low stall to high stall at any time. The transmission has been serviced and performs well. Custom trans cooler lines were made to feed the auxiliary mounted transmission cooler which is mounted neatly behind the grille. These lines have "hand sewn" high-temp covering on them as they pass close to the exhaust from the factory. The rear axle is a proper BOP with a 3:08 ratio. overhauled with a new limited slip. This makes it a beautiful high-way cruiser with quite good gas mileage. Steering and suspension completely replaced. quality Spicer and Moog ball-joints. inner and outer tie rods. idler. pitman. enter link. steering arm. upper and lower control arms re-bushed. upper control arm shafts. springs and shocks. Rear sway bar installed as well. 1 1/4 front sway bar  Upgraded the brakes to front discs which included new spindles. rgs. combination valve. booster and master cylinder. For the wheels. 15 inch Olds rally wheels gave the disc brakes the clearance needed. Cooper Gt 255 /60 / 15 tires were fitted The body was removed. frame blasted and finished in POR 15. Frame was "as-new". all new body bushings. rear springs. shocks etc. A 3/4 trunk floor was welded in along with lower quarter panels and left rear wheel well. A small repair the size of your fist was welded in to the l/r of the floor.   Factory build engineering drawings would which enabled all body panels to be set with digital calipers. Body is finished in " MARAKESH" brown. with all door jambs . rockers etc pre painted. Convertible top rebuilt with new pump. ylinder. lines. wiring. Robbins top and cabling etc. All body moldings refurbished including dash. bumpers re-chromed. new headlamp bezels. New wiring harnesses. relays. power window switches and the big door harnesses. All new interior. door panels. carpet. seats and seat coil bases. refinished console I don't know how many countless hours were spent on this car. This is a very smooth and solid driving car right up into the "triple digits " Probably the nicest steering cars I have had the pleasure of owning. I have a 1967 Car and Driver magazine that states the Cutlass was. by far. the best handling car on their South Hampton high speed track. This included all the muscle cars. Buick. TO . hevelle. Ford etc.  Probably missing some goodies here but enough said !  Appraised through Haggartys at $ 45 k at 85 % completion
