EQUIPMENT
Front fog lamps. Fire extinguisher. Floor-mounted heater. Carpet overmats. Genuine Speedster doors. door rails. locks. latches. handles. hood and side screens. dials. chrome side strips. headlights. rear lights. bumpers. deck lid and grille. seals. bonnet. tinware. steering wheel and column. pedals. handbrake. fuel tank. drums. and badges.

EXTERIOR
Presented in a glossy coat of ivory. the Speedster's coachwork is finished to a very high standard indeed. The bodywork remains straight and almost entirely blemish-free. contrasting in colour beautifully against the red leather interior.

What really sets this example apart from other recreations is the huge degree of originality. This 356 features an incredible selection of genuine Speedster parts; everything from the doors to the steering wheel are authentic. Even items that are usually missing on real examples. such as the original clear glass lenses. are present and correct.

INTERIOR
Supple red leather covers the dash. door cards. and seats. The interior is in wonderful order throughout with minimal wear to the upholstery and. in fact. very few signs of use at all. The carpets too are in excellent condition and are protected in the front footwells by fitted overmats; all are piped in red.

On close inspection the steering wheel presents very well and is an original item. The dials too are authentic. as are the pedals. handbrake. and steering column. This example also benefits from a floor-mounted heater for those brisk morning drives.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The engine bay of the 356 is extremely clean and tidy. It is fitted with a reconditioned 1. 6-litre air-cooled engine. which produces around 60hp. On close inspection all components appear fresh and corrosion-free.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The car sits on a set of chrome wheels with domed hubcaps. They present in decent condition although a perfectionist may choose to re-chrome as a result of the light patination to each rim. The wheels are shod in a matching set of Toyo tyres with ample tread. What's more the suspension is adjustable front and rear.

Registered as a 1958 Porsche 356 the car retains the VIN off the original donor vehicle. It was built using only original Speedster. 356A. or restoration-grade German reproduction parts. Present in the history file are various invoices and receipts as well as a new old stock Porsche service booklet. Most recently the car was serviced 31st March 2015. It also includes a valuable dateless one digit registration plate.
