Well. it would appear that I'm on a selling spree.   Might be a good time to ride that wave of momentum to sell my old Lincoln Continental Mark III.   It's been one of "those things". Too good to sell -- no use keeping.   As you can imagine. the "too good to sell" has been the over-riding factor.   Still is but. here goes.

1969 Lincoln Continental Mark III.   These were advertised as "The personal luxury car".   They were quite an exquisite automobile.   By 1969. Cadillac quality had sunk to rock bottom. with interiors made of cheap plastic.   The Lincoln Mark III had a remarkably luxurious interior.   It was top of the line by even the highest standards.   The factory clock was made by designer Cartier.   The gauges were like jewellery. and the leather upholstery nothing short of opulent.   I really love these cars. and had searched for just the right one for years.

So. here it is gentlemen.   An original classic '69 Lincoln Continental Mark III. with only 54. 00 actual and original miles!!!

Now. I know what you might be thinking. We've all gone to see so-called "low-mileage" cars with 5-digit odometers; only to drive away absolutely disappointed.   I may have even seem some on Ebay (shock. surprise!!!).   But. yes it's true.   just because there isn't a 6th digit. some people will try be dishonest.   Let me assure you however. This car does not have 154. 00. 254. 00. or even 354. 00 miles.    This IS an actual low mileage classic car. the real deal.

History:

I discovered the car a while ago.   I had nearly given up on searching for just the right candidate.   Then. while speaking with someone on an unrelated topic. the discussion had turned to classic cars.   Turns out. he had a '69 Mark III.   He had gotten the car in payment of a debt somewhere around 1988 or '89. then drove it for it's inaugural voyage halfway across the country to a wedding.   Upon returning. he decided he would put it away in his garage. tightly covered.   His intention was to keep it as a future collectible.   Well. fast forward to the future. and my involvement.   After hearing about the car. I just had to see it.   He uncovered it. and invited me over a few days later.   I saw it. and just had to have it.   It was gorgeous.   I was in love with the unique colour combination of a copper body. with brilliant white roof. and white interior.   It was unlike any other Mark III that I had ever seen.   I couldn't wait to see it freshly painted.    The super low mileage and interior condition had me hooked.   Fast forward even further and. well.   I've come to the realization that I just won't have the time for everything.   Something's got to give.

Condition:

Well. it's not perfect but. it's nice. and it's nice looking.   But. what's nice to me might not be nice to you.   So. to avoid any disappointments. I'll describe the paint as a 1 out of 10.   There's chips. scuffs. touch-up's. and small scratches.   Overall. it's quite dull as well.   A wet-sanding with 3000 grit. followed by a good polish would smarten it right up.   To remain safe. I'll describe the body as a 1/10 too.   There's some rust around the lower rear extremities.   The car is 47 years old.   The interior is really nice.   The seats and carpets show no wear whatsoever.   It just hasn't been used much. and it shows.   Matter of fact. I'd describe the interior as absolutely outstanding.   It's shockingly nice.   Everything is soft. supple. and you'd be hard pressed to find any wear at all.   The window mouldings are great. and all the exterior bright work and trim is just amazing.   Mechanically. it seems okay (I'm not a mechanic. mind you). and has less mileage than most 2 and 3 year old cars but. it is old.   The big 365 horsepower 460 engine runs fires up really strong and sounds super powerful but. I cannot guarantee anything age-related may not have deteriorated with time.   There could very possibly be more but. the 2 things I know are wrong with the car are as follows:  It needs work to the fuel tank (cleaning?). and a new water pump (just started to leak).

All in all. I'd be most comfortable describing this as a project car to avoid a difference in opinion.   I would rather promise less. and deliver more.   You decide what you'd like to pay.   I'm intent upon a sale. and have placed the reserve ridiculously low to make sure.   This sale isn't all about money.   This classic should go somewhere where it is enjoyed.   I haven't been able.   What I would like however. is to expand my good feedback.   I have money and can always get more -- What I'm interested in is expanding my good feedback.   Which. by the way. is a darned difficult thing with our small fleet 30-50+ year old vehicles that we've tried relocating to new homes.   One man's gold is always another's garbage - or vice versa.   Look over the pics.   Look at my feedback.   And decide what you'd like to pay.   I'm pretty intent upon a sale.

Please note:  Because of this car's age and antique-status. it is free to travel across into the States without restriction.   I will prepare all the paperwork as necessary.   In the last month or so. we've done this a number of times. and I've become familiar with the finer nuances and procedures.   You won't have to worry or even lift a finger.   If you have any questions. please don't hesitate to ask.   If you'd like to speak on the phone. let me know and we'll arrange a time.

Oh. finally.   If you're interested. bid early.   4 out of 5 of our last auctions ended early.   I accepted offers and closed the sale within the confines of Ebay.   I will not accept any offers outside of Ebay.   I want the feedback.   Besides. There are protection programs in place to safeguard both the buyer and seller.

And. well.   I think that covers it.

Good luck bidding. and have fun fellow enthusiasts!
