The most desirable of all E-Types. Jaguar's evocative and famous Series I OTS roadsters are among the jewels in the crown of automotive collectibility and as such are familiar to enthusiasts and collectors worldwide.

This beautiful 1963 example. finished in red with biscuit leather. is in outstanding. concours condition and features that most evocative of engine bays: a 3. 8 litre. triple SU carburetted inline six cylinder engine. famous for its legendary 150mph performance and styling that changed the face of automobile development for a generation.

Bearing its original UK registration “7065WK”. this is a magnificent opportunity to explore the realms of what has been described by many as the most beautifully styled motor car ever constructed.

Condition Guide

Coachwork: Paintwork flawless. with superbly even finish throughout and excellent brightwork.

Engine Bay: Concours condition. with polished cam covers sparkling and triple-SUs in attendance. with all induction equipment shining upon inspection.

Interior: Beautiful biscuit leather trimmed by Suffolk & Turley. Correct. period switchgear with delightful Nardi steering wheel. Standard of the leather said to be world-class. with tactile soft grain far above the usual standard.

Hood: Black mohair of outstanding quality. trimmed in biscuit and covered by a beautiful tonneau.

Wheels and Tyres: Chromed wire wheels in stunning order. fitted with new. period-optional Pirelli Cinturato radial tyres.

First registered in the UK and then exported to the USA. it was imported back to Britain in 1990 by its current keeper of 25 years. Recently restored to the standard evidently displayed in the photographs. it has also been subtly improved in selected areas. with thoughtful and sympathetic attention to the brakes. electrical and ignition systems.

Coopercraft disc brake calipers have been installed. along with oversized pads. plus the addition of a powerful vacuum servo as standard on the later 4. 2-engined models. Electronic ignition has also been fitted as desirable and convenient improvement.

The current vendor has also extended his attention to the lighting system. with all bulbs other than the headlights being fitted with LED lighting. This includes the interior lights. reducing the chance of unnecessary battery drain.

A Barratt handbrake mechanism has been incorporated as well. vastly improving handbrake action. and the 1963 Motorola radio retains its original 5 pushbutton controls. but its functionality also extends to Bluetooth and iPhone connectivity for additional convenience.

This outstanding. collectible motor car naturally carries a full MoT to 9 August 2016. and is sold with a selection of documentation including previous MoTs and owner's manual.
