Bentley S1. 1958

We are offering this fabulous Bentley S1. 1958 for sale.

The Bentley S1 has had a full rebuild of the engine head which had been instructed to be carried out by the previous owners. The right hand drive vehicle was owned by the same family since 1959 and has factory power steering. Unfortunately the history file has been lost by the previous owners. We are currently trying to retrieve the information. however. we have evidence that the previous owners spent about £ 12. 00 on the car over a ten year period. they could not find a lot of documentation but we do hold some invoices including the invoice of the engine head rebuild and related works mentioned above. Copies are available on request. We are still actively trying to retrieve more information on the Bentley S1.

We. here at Pristine Classics. carried out various works and upgrades on the Bentley S1.

The car received a full re-spray in Tudor Grey and was fitted with stainless steel front and back bumpers. All the woodwork was re-veneered and polished and the bright work re-chromed. The Bentley was re-upholstered with biscuit coloured leather. matching Alcantara headlining and tailor-made carpets. The underside of the car was cleaned and painted. The Bentley is in very good condition and performs as it should in modern traffic.

Following work has also been carried out recently:

With regards to the history. the S1 Bentley has only one date on the chassis specification card and that is an SF date of 17/06/1958. The car is recorded as being delivered during August 1958. It was a standard bodied car with engine number BF373 and body number 4140. The original colour was shell grey on the top of body. boot door. bonnet and the bottom panels were painted in black pearl with a single deep blue line. The trim details were blue hide. grey headcloth and blue carpet. It was originally sold through The Portland Motor Company for stock and the car's first owner was Lindsay Muir & Co.

We would consider the car to be in very good to mint condition.
