TRIUMPH 2. 5PI MK II SALOON. 1972. TAX EXEMPT AUTOMATIC

Triumph White 19 with original black vinyl seats and interior. black carpet. unmarked headlining. period radio. original dashboard and wooden door cappings in very good condition. nbsp; a rare to find model which still retains many of the cars original features and that has not been personalised or fallen into disrepair over the intervening years.   According to the accompanying history file the car has had three previous owners and amongst general maintenance paperwork even includes the original Triumph 'Passport to Service' booklet.  The interior of the car is in remarkable condition. there are a few visible blemishes to the passenger rear wheel arch forward of the wheel and the drivers front wheel arch. although the sills which normally require major structural work are in exceptionally sound condition. the floors are intact and appear to be in original condition having been ziebarted from new. further applications of cavity wax have more recently been applied. the car has been serviced and new brake cylinders fitted for the MOT.   Still retaining the original Lucas fuel pump complete with a pressure guage and injection system. all works well.   Offered in an 'as is' condition. nbsp;there is evidence of over polishing in previous years which has worn away the paint on some edges. also where cloths / covers have trapped moisture but it is not holed and rusty.  The windscreen rubber is cracked and can be supplied with the car and will require replacement.   In our opinion the car would benefit from a respray eventually but presently this would detract from its originality as yet no work of this work nature appears to have carried out.

If you are serious about these cars this is an ideal example for a collector or for someone to carry out the cosmetic work which would easily make it into one of the finer examples still left on our roads today.
