1967 Lancia Flavia Vignale Convertible – Very Rare project

An exceedingly rare. RHD model. with the 1800cc boxer (carb) engine. The Flavia Vignale is a handbuilt. 4-seat convertible. and only 45 were built in RHD. Very few have survived. although the Lancia Motor Club know of 3 others undergoing restoration. The car was very advanced for its time. with reasonable performance. but outstanding handling. making them a delight to drive on challenging roads. H+H auctioned such a car as this in August 2012. which sold for £16. 00. Only 1 is currently on the road according to the DVLC.

This car is generally in good condition for a Lancia of this age. but does need some panel fabrication and welding. (Lancia never rust-proofed their cars!). The body is in reasonably sound condition. with interior having been stripped for inspection. and restoration. all trim removed. and carefully boxed in sets to allow for ease of re-construction. All parts are included. with a virtually new soft top. kept warm and dry in my spare bedroom! The floorpan requires extensive work. with all 4 footwell panels needing replacing. The 2 rear sections have already been fabricated. ready for welding. The windscreen surround. and rear deck. also need repair. Both sills were replaced during earlier work to the car. and front sub-frame crossmembers replaced.

All the trim is available. but in only fair to poor condition. Needs new door seals. replace carpet (vinyl) as a minimum. Chromework is useable. but could do with re-chroming. Paintwork really needs a re-spray. and I have removed lights. etc. . but again. all boxed in sets.

The car is mechanically sound. and was driven into my garage. but has not been run recently. Engine. gearbox and clutch were fine at that time. They are all undisturbed. There is an extensive archive of invoices. old MOT's. earlier log books. etc. . with records of a new clutch. much work to brakes. and suspension. plus other work. Exhaust system is stainless steel. V5 is in my name. Car has done a genuine 67. 32 miles. Workshop manuals (Italian and English). technical diagrams. Lancia Motor Club information and club magazines(Viva). also available.

Viewing is recommended. as photos don't show the full story. I don't have broadband. so no requests for extensive photos please. Needless to say. a trailer will be needed to collect.
