1957 Austin cambridge in need of restoration.

This has been in storage since 1989 when it was last on the road. previous owner started on the body about seven years ago but the project was side lined. I purchased the vehicle dissassembled as seen in pictures. interior is in great original condition. All the chrome and badges seem to be there however the bumpers were left in the weather and are badly rusted (they probably are beyond repair) rust wise there is a section at the rear below the boot and a strip in the left front door jam there is some starting in the sills and lower front guards but its all pretty easy to fix. The engine turns over by hand and I was told by the past owner that it runs but when i tried I the starter wasn't engaging. (solenoid issue?). Brake and clutch masters were replaced by previous owner but have yet to be filled or bled. This has been sitting for a while and is heavy to move so brakes will need attention.

All in all this looks to be an easy restoration project and I would not be at all surprised if the miles were original. I bought this as an impulse decision when it was offered to me but it will be a while before I get around to doing anything with it. With the condition of its paint I cant store it outside. its just getting in the way.

This would make a great little club car or weekend cruiser. it even has the original instruction book in the glovebox.
