Ford Cortina Mk2 - 2 Door 1967. Lotus Lookalike but with better performance. I first bought this car around 10 years ago from Liverpool and it already had the 2. 0 zetec fitted.  The conversion had been done extremely well despite the fact that a lot of the on shelf parts were not readily available at that time. I used it for a while then sold it to my mate. he did the same  bought it back twice then I bought it back from him. Its quite addictive how it goes and puts a smile on your face every time you drive it.

The body is a very solid 2 door shell which needs no work whatsoever. Its had a little work in the past to the outriggers but in the main its very original. Its painted in venetian red and is very straight with good gaps and door shuts. Its got Lotus badges on and is lowered on a set of newly refurbed lotus steels.

The engine was from a mk5 escort rs2000 and still runs the efi system. It pulls strongly and runs very well.

The interior is all there and clean and tidy but is probably the only thing that lets the car down. The seats are from an early xr3i and although they were fine at the time they need changed for some nice new black ones and some new door cards.

The car is fitted with a period sunroof.

Viewing is recommended so you know what you are buying. Car will have a full years mot by end of auction and I have just fitted a brand new electric fuel pump. Reserve is set at a sensible level. Tyres are also new.
