1961 single cab pickup
Welcome to my Auction for this 52 year old classic 1961 VW pickup with patina. This pick up lived on a farm in Oklahoma for most of its life and really hasn't had the usual hard life that these pickups suffered from. This van is very straight but it does need a little bit of tlc. The bed on this van is in amazing condition as you can see from the pictures it has no dents and is rot free and the side panels are the originals.  Inside the cab its amazing and the pictures really don't do it justice and its all in the original factory dove blue paint. the dash still has the original radio blanking plate in it and all the door cards also are the originals. The fresh box has no rust at all and looks like it did the day it came out of factory. It still has the original bench seat in it which to fair is a bit tired but it is still very comfortable to sit on. I do believe that at some point in its life it has had 3/4 of a front panel on it but as for how long ago this was done i really don't know. As you can see from the pictures it has some minor rust issues but apart from the front panel it hasn't had  any repairs done to it. So what you see is what you get which makes things easy. Things to get your teeth into are the hideaway cupboard floor edge is holed but i do have a new panel for this. it could do with a pair of middle out riggers on it. Both sills are holed and battery tray is required. Both rear corners need a bit of work.  I have replaced both front shocks but the backs need doing. I have got these and they will go with the pickup. It has had new wheels cylinders and a couple of flexi's and a master cylinder. This pickup does drive nice and has a AH 1600cc engine with a 12v  conversion. It wouldn't really take that much to get it on the road. I do have the relevant import paper work to get this registered all you need to do is get it insured and mot'd.  Viewing is highly recommendedThe pickup is located in CV22 just off Junction 1M6 or Junction 18 M1Please feel free to contact me through ebay and i will do my best answer any questions about the pickup.
