your looking at a very rare 1961 vw splitscreen westy camper walk through model in need of total restoration.

still retaining its splitscreen only rare westy rock'n'roll bed. ide wardrobe. verhead locker etc theres also a cooker installed to suit.
all the lurve windows open and close fine and are all intact they have been painted with tint spray so easily removed.
one key fits all the working locks. he bus rolls nice and freely. he 1500cc engine is in the bus and is included condition unkown!
theres rust in the floors/sills/inner and outer front nose etc please see the detailed pictures.
the front drivers seat has been replace with a later 64 splitscreen one so it could use the runners as oppose to a fixed seat which the 61 model originally came with a modification well thought of as you can slide it to your desired driving posistion. he seat is sitting on a original runner panel which has been pop riveted on its not covering a hole or rust! so i can be easily removed.
all the doors open and close fine. he drivers door has rusted through at the bottom corner and its come away at the top near the hinge all an easy repair.
gutters are fine with minimal rust. heres rust here and there and some filler work on the body. n my eyes it would need a full strip down to do a proper and worthy restoration. or a massive investment.
as you can see there have been some alterations to the bus and inprovements so to put back to original is also an easy fix.
this bus has rust and in need of bodywork electric work and mechanical work its not a driver or a weekend fix please look at the photo bucket for an honest look at whats involved.
the bus has been imported from the u. s. a and i have the full documentation to hand to get registerred once its mot'd and insured!
