EXTERIOR
Resplendent in British Racing Green this 3. 8 looks every part the elegant sports saloon with endless curves and delicate bright work. Defined by its large front grille and leaping Cat. the front end is in fine cosmetic order with lights free of chips or cracks and chrome strip unmarked. The panel fit to doors. bonnet and boot are sound with no excessive force necessary for use and although there are some cosmetic imperfections around the body the car is structurally very sound. surviving well and shining proudly under both studio and natural light.

INTERIOR
The S Type will always represent a timeless class with a cabin rich in bright chrome work. burr walnut veneer and soft leather. The dim map lights in the B pillar offer that familiar lounge effect with headlining. carpets. fit and finish surviving beautifully. With only light deterioration of the burr at the top of the dash to report. the interior is in good condition and represents a pinnacle of style and comfort. Armrests for the driver and front passenger are nestled nicely into the front bench. whilst rear passengers are treated to excellent head space and huge legroom.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Having been stripped down and rebuilt in 2013 the straight six is in fine fettle; with the capacity of the 3. 8 offering generous torque the pace is effortless. The 3 speed automatic was also treated to a full overhaul during the rebuild process to ensure that both engine and drivetrain are in perfect working harmony. The car fires into life and settles immediately to a confident idle and when up to speed the inline six sings beautifully. the stainless steel exhaust pleasingly clear and without unnecessary drone.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The chrome wires sparkle beautifully against the BRG exterior. these were replaced in 2012 and sit in lovely condition with good Michelin rubber to rear and excellent Vredesteins to front. The brake calipers clean up very nicely and work smoothly in pulling up this stately Jag with a minimum of fuss.

HISTORY FILE
ETT 918C was first registered in November of 1965 and has led a pampered life with a rich service history portfolio. With receipts dating back to 1983 this S Type has more recently been subject to a great deal of care and attention with Addspeed of Horsham. from whom there are sizeable invoices for both engine and gearbox rebuilds as well as suspension. steering and cooling system overhauls. With a considerable anount of work carried out between 2012 and 2013. this Mk1 had it's last fluids and health check in May of 2014 at 71. 28 miles. There is a large 3. 4 & 3. 8 ‘S' service manual and operating handbook present as well as the spare keys.
