This is an incredible rare opportunity to buy one of the 180 or so factory supplied Right Hand Drive Alfa Romeo Montreals. It has been abot 5 years since I last saw one for sale so if you miss this? Our car is in a very nice driving condition. totally useable but not a fresh restoration. It is finished in the BEST Montreal colour of Metallic Orange with Black velour interior. It has only had 6 owners. the last for 12 years and is MOT'd. driving well and ready for it next owner. br/>
We love Montreals here and will tell anyone who will listen how great and undervalued they are at the moment. this is no exception.

It is important to understand how the Alfa Romeo Montreal came about as its design and power plant are was something to behold. Montreal. Canada. the setting for the 1967 World's Fair; the International and Universal Exposition or 'Expo 67' as it was known. Alfa Romeo was asked to provide an exhibit that would be representative of the automotive industry. The result was a fabulous prototype designed by Marcello Gandini of the Bertone styling house and named Montreal in honour of the event. The 105 series chassis and components were used as a basis. designed with ease of future production in mind. When the first production model was revealed in 1970 the styling was virtually identical to the World's Fair prototype but the biggest surprise was the power plant under the bonnet. Alfa Romeo used a detuned Type 33 racing car's V8 engine of 2. 93cc capacity which produced over 200bhp. Regrettably. the Type 33 six-speed transmission and transaxle were not used. however; a ZF gearbox five-speed gearbox and modified 105 series rear axle were incorporated to good effect.

So here we have it. there is not another one available anywhere in the world. that we can see. and in the perfect colours. this car just needs to get bought. A fully restored car sold last year for £90. 00 so they are starting to be recognised. I have one myself so I put my money where my mouth is!
