This is a very one off car and will will require a special owner.
It is in Candy Pink Pearl and has a Pearl White roof.

It was purchased for a friend of mine with the intention she would learn to drive in it. but due to other commitments and a bad experience many moons ago (not related to this car). she hasn't started learning. and now the car is for sale.
We purchased it from a man who had built it as an anniversary present for his wife a couple of years prior. There are invoices for the car rebuild exceeding 7k.
It is a 998cc 1979 Mini with a manual gearbox. The invoices for work can be inspected. The engine. brakes. and suspension are standard. though it's had new shoes and adjusters last MOT and had new drums and pipe during rebuild.
It's only been driven occasionally in the last year but when it has. it has been sweet. other than developing a slipping clutch. This has recently been resolved by replacing the clutch oil seal. The clutch was replaced at the same time. and the old clutch is in the boot as proof. As I did this myself. I don't have receipt for the labour.
The car also had a slight oil leak from the timing cover. I didn't discover this until the engine was refitted. I'm currently in the process of resolving this. For those who know minis. It's been done properly by removing the cover and the timing chain. then the back plate. It turned out that the threads were damaged in two holes on the plate. The holes have been retapped and it is all now refitted. I've just the engine mount bolts to put back in. the rad and alternator to go back on. then it will be running again.
For the above reason the car cannot be heard running now but can be visually inspected and will be running in a week or so (weather dependent).
The main bits of modifications / newly replaced bits (since rebuild) are listed below. For the full list of the rebuild you're welcome to have a look at the invoices (electronic) when you come and view the car.
13x7 split rim effect superlites - grey in the middle. polished round the edges. New shoes and adjustersNew fuel line pump to carb and overflowNew carb floatNew clutch and oil sealNew timing cover gasket and oil seal. face plate gasket too. new bolts in timing cover where neededNew engine mountsHeadlight wiring replaced for better watertight connections in the loomRear quarter windows and rear window tintedChrome bumpers (I think. they might be very well polished stainless come to think of it)Rover chrome grillClear side repeaters and front indicatorsclear rear lights (original square shape not rounded ones)Upswept twin exit center exhaustChrome mirrorsNew chrome '2nd' bonnet catch as the original one was missing!Twin clocks in the dash- dash is walnut as in pics and has housing for stereoKenwood CD player with Aux input (3. 5mm on the front) Playes MP3 and WMA cd's tooAlloy gear knob and handbrake gripAlloy door furnitureMini 30 limited edition interior - door cards. front and rear seats. Black carpetsThere is ONE rear seatbelt - 3 points. The reason for this is I have had a baby seat in the back of it and as standard the car has no rear belts. The belt is from a mini but the mounting points are my own. It's very safe and was tested at the last MOT and passed - I specifically told the tester to go to town on it because I didn't want the safety of the baby at risk. So you can either leave that one in. fit another in the same manner. or take it out so it's original - mounting points are hidden by the seat. so you'd never know. Speakers (6x9) in rear parcel shelfAlloy pedalsNew water pump and bypass hose - just because I could. while the engine was out (little did I know I'd be doing the timing cover a week later!)Colour coded number plate light. chrome lock on the boot lidNot new now. but new during rebuild and important enough to mention - new rear subframe. shot blasted and powder coated front subframe. reconditioned (reamed and rebushed) radius arms.  Oil and filter change when the clutch was done (<100 miles ago)Antifreeze / coolant flush and replace (about to happen when the radiator goes back in). The bodywork and under car is amazing on this thing. I've only seen concourse cars like it. It was kept outside for the last 3 years (since the rebuild). other than a period of about 6 months in a garage. So that should give you an idea of the quality of bodywork. the fact it's still imaculate now says a hell of a lot. There are a couple of stone chips on the front. and with absolute honesty. it could do with a new rubber on the filler neck to make that bit look a bit tidier. nbsp;
You're welcome to come and have a look at it. You're welcome to have a ride in it. but no test pilots unless I think you're serious about buying it and you can prove you have insurance. (insurance to drive other cars third party will be fine on a you break it. you bought it basis!) As mentioned above. no rides just yet as I've to put the last bits back into the engine bay. Viewings welcome though.
The car is currently in Wakefield. but the owner lives in Derby. The car will ultimately be returned there. you're welcome to purchase it from here. or from there. but I know the importance of having the log book at the registered address. that won't be an issue if that's what you'd prefer. I can just drive it back to Derby.

Ask my anything you like about this lovely little car. We're just having a look at the potential for sale at the moment. Offers are welcome. but let's not be daft about it. we're not in a rush to sell it. we may decide not to sell it and to wait till her daughter turns 17 and give it to her! As it makes me look awesome (15 stone 6ft 25 year old lad lol). It's advertised elsewhere. so it could end early if it sells.
