Land Rover : Defender 90

This is a rare Canadian Spec. 1994 Defender 90 Soft-top.  1994 was the first year that  Land Rover imported the D90 into North America making this a very collectable car.  I bought it from the original owner in 2002 and then promptly moved overseas.  I left the Defender in secure storage. and it was not registered. taxed. insured or driven from 2004 until 2011.  Because these cars are so versatile and capable. they are often used for Off-Roading. for races or competition.  To be clear:  this defender has seen none of that activity and in fact. may NEVER even have been driven in the rain.  And it has been stored in dry. secure storage for more than a decade.
This car has never been in any form of accident.

In June. 2011. it was taken to MCL Motors (The authorized Landrover Dealer for Vancouver) where it received C$5. 31 of attention.  This included:
Full serviceNew BatteryAt this time. the Odometer was recorded as 35. 15 KM (or approx 22. 00 miles) only.  The 10 page service invoice is available.  This Defender was then immediately put back into storage.
In August. 2013. it was taken to Rovalution. a Vancouver Land Rover specialist.  Odometer was recorded as 35. 35 KM's.  Works included:
Full service5 new BF Goodrich Mud Terrain Tyres 265/75SR16 BFDoor sils removed. repaired and refittedRadio head unit replaced/upgraded Installed Hella Rally 4000 Xenon lamps (look like the originals but considerably brighter). Replaced front windscreenReplaced fuel pumpReplace wiper switchClutch Master & Slave Cylinder replacedDrop arm or balljoint replacedTotal cost C$13. 00.  A copy of this invoice is available.  This Defender was then driven for a couple of days and then immediately put back in storage and has not been above ground/outside since -- Odometer reading is now 36. 44 KM's only.  That's a documented 329 KM's in the last 11 years!  However. make no mistake:  This Defender will start first time and is ready to drive right now.
This car comes with the soft-top and an additional Bikini Top.  Both are like new.
In short. this car has had whatever needs done to it done by Landrover specialists. but has not really been driven in more than a decade.  Radio. head lights and flood lights have been upgraded. Tuffy lock-box installed and tyres replaced and upgraded.  Otherwise. this vehicle is exactly as when it left Solihull in 1994.
The Defender is in downtown Vancouver. BC and available for viewing.  I will be leaving BC at the end of this auction and this car will then be stored until next summer (2016) when it may or may not. be listed again (but at a higher price!).  I reserve the right to end this auction early as I a)  Have this car for sale elsewhere and b)  Now do have to leave BC earlier than planned.  If you have an interest in this Defender. please let me know as this auction will end on Thursday.
