Dodge Charger R/T. Factory 440 U-CODE

Up for auction is my original 1971 Dodge Charger R/T.   It is a factory ordered 440 U-code car in it's original colour. The colour is high impact "Citron Yella" with a black interior and stripes. The car left the factory with and automatic transmission and 4 bbl carburation.

I have changed the vehicle to a 4-speed and have added a complete Six-Pack set-up. The rear axle has also been upgraded to a HD 9 3/4 Dana 60 with 3. 54 sure grip.   The car is coded for and left the factory with an 8 3/4 open 3:23 with 11" drum brakes front and rear.   I have also added 26" High Performance radiator.   ALL of these changes were performed professionally with new or factory restored parts. These changes are only detected by the data plate and are done exactly how it would have left the factory if ordered this way.

The 440 is non-numbers matching. but it is a year casting correct 1971 HP 440 that has been completely rebuilt bottom to top.

In addition to the car being a VERY desirable "High Impact" colour. it is totally rust and accident free. It was a life long Tennessee car until I purchased it almost 20 years ago.   The car retains all the original metal it was born with.   It has the original body panels. floors. wheel wells and trunk floor.   Again. it still has its original trunk floor despite being a factory vinyl top car that are notorious for leakage into the trunk compartment.   NO metal has ever been replaced on this car period.   This was very important to me when I was looking for a nice B-body to restore.   I had no interest in a repaired. rusted out car.   I wanted a super clean car to fully restore and that it was I bought.   This 71 Charger drives and rides as it did when new.   It's as easy to drive at 70 mph as it is around city streets.   I drive this car!

The underside is detailed and shows as well as the rest of the car. beautiful.   It is  "Show Car" quality and has been displayed in a local Chrysler dealership when the most current generation Charger was introduced.   It has won many awards at small local shows. it has also won some high end awards.    It took 1st place in the Dodge B Body 1971 - 1974 Charger R/T. SE class at the huge "All-Chrysler Nationals"  in 2006 at Carlisle. Most recently it was awarded 1st place at Mopars at the Red Barns 2014 in Battle Creek. Michigan.   The car shows as good and possibly better than it did when it received these awards.

Here is a quick breakdown of the options factory ordered on this well equipped B-body.   Some of these are seen on the fender tag. I don't have a build sheet. HD drum brakes. black interior. tinted glass (all). rear bumper guards. front and rear spoilers. bright exhaust tips. hood pins. dual painted racing mirrors. multiplex AM/FM.

I have owned this Charger for almost 20 years and have continually made improvements in every area of the car.   This is not your typical tossed around muscle car.   This is a turn key vehicle that needs nothing.   It is reliable and proven. the car gets driven.   It has around 20. 00 miles on it since being restored. but you wouldn't know it by the condition and appearance.   You would think the restoration was recent.   This car shows very well.   The complete 6-pack has less than 2. 00 miles on it.   I had never intended on offering this car for sale.   I have have poured a great deal of time. money and love into it.   The sole reason for it being offered is the fact that I can't do much more with this car.   I am recently retired and would like another vehicle that I can spend some time working on.   With the Charger being finished it only requires a driver.   I don't have the space to keep it and purchase another. so it must go.   I am motivated to sell but this is also not a fire-sale.

  I am located in Windsor Ontario. across the river from Detroit Michigan.   I welcome and encourage any 3rd party inspections.   The first person who has decided to own a '71 Charger R/T will purchase this car.   I have hundreds of pictures available upon request.

I am also able to deliver/trailer the car in person.   This will be discussed with serious buyers only.   I will be attending the "All Chryslers" at Carlisle show July 10th-12th and will be able to deliver the vehicle to this venue.   Again. this will have to be discussed prior to the event.
