'The DB9 is the first of a new deal from Aston--its bonded aluminum "VH" platform will eventually be used for the entire three-model range. The 5. 9-liter V-12 engine is shared with the more expensive Vanquish. The transmission is the now-ubiquitous ZF six-speed automatic (the Bentley has one). but the Aston is unique in positioning it at the differential. The result is a nearly even front-to-rear weight distribution'
