Finished in British Racing Green with Traditional Black Leather Upholstery with Red Piping and Black Carpets this is an excellent example of the sought after early MK1 B Roadster featuring Pull Door Handles and retaining many original features including its original steering wheel.
Fitted with the 3 Syncho Gearbox with Over-drive and benefiting from being one of the first MK1's to feature the 5 Bearing Crank Engine.
The Car was the subject of an extensive restoration program in the late 90's and the Comprehensive History File has a photographic record of the works undertaken showing the replacement of the majority of outer panels with New Heritage Pressings. The restoration work all appears to have been undertaken to a very high standard and the passing of time has done little to detract from what is a very well presented example.
Being in Single ownership for the last 11 years the Car has been lightly used and going by the MOT certificates only clocking up less than 5000 miles in that period.
When the Car arrived with us we embarked upon a comprehensive but sensible Service and Detailing Programme to bring the car to the Standard that it is today.

On the Mechanical Side we have changed the Engine Oil ( Millers 20w50 ). Gearbox Oil ( Millers 20w50 ). Differential Oil ( Millers 80w90 ). We have serviced and adjusted the Brakes. replaced Brake Fluid. We have fitted New Air Filters. New Electronic Ignition. Distributor Cap. Rotor Arm. Plug Leads & Spark Plugs. As due diligence we have Conducted a Compression Test to reveal excellent cylinder compression and conducted a thorough check of Oil Pressure with Workshop equipment to reveal excellent results ( which are documented in the History File )The Coolant System has been Flushed a New Thermostat Fitted. all Coolant & Heater Hoses and the Coolant Replaced. The Suspension has been inspected and all lubrication points greased.

Externally the paintwork remains in first class order and following a detail polish it is a match for some far more expensive machinery. The Panel work is straight and true and the panel gaps are very good. There is no signs of rust. dents or scratches.
Internally the trim work is in fine order and the Leather Seats are in very good condition. The Black Vinyl Hood is in Good Order and present there is both a half and full tonneau cover.
The Car sits on Traditional Painted Wire Wheels with 185 profile Avon Tyres.

The underside is in body is in good condition and a fresh coat of High Quality Corrosion Inhibiting Wax Protection has been applied to aid future protection from the elements.

On Test the Car starts with ease and drives very nicely. pulling strongly as a well-tuned car should and displays good oil pressure when hot.
I am Genuinely Confident that the New Owner will be very pleased with this Car and at this price point we suspect it will be a good investment too!
