The name Mercedes has the ability to stir emotions and the SL range of cars are some of the beautiful cars ever developed by any manufacturer. Add to that their astonishing ability to have virtually no depreciation one can see why they are some of the most sought after cars in the world.

In total. around 25. 81 190 SLs were produced between 1955-1963 with around 70% of these being delivered to the USA. It is said around 250 original RHD cars survive today. making this a very rare car indeed.

This Mercedes 190 SL roadster is a matching numbers car with matching hardtop. It is an original right hand drive car from new.

Imported in 1999 it has had 2 owners since. Since 2001 it has lived in Guilford and has been maintained by Steve Redfern and other notable specialists.

A fine investment vehicle. prices are continuing to rise folowing the continued sucess of the 300SL as an investment vehicle.

Some points worth noting. we bought the car in to restore to a concourse car and return to its original colour but we have too many projects so it will be 6 months before get onto this one. It is offered at a very reasonable price and for sale as a bought as seen car it is the cheapest RHD 190SL on the market today. fully MOT'd and roadworthy ready to go.

Small corrosion to the front and rear valance – easy fix
Various marks and small blisters on the paint
Floors have had welding done in the past. invoice on file 2002 Silvester coachworks - Both undersills. rear floor and foot wells.
Underside is solid and well protected with Waxoil.
Chromework is generally good but would benefit from bumpers doing
It has current MOT and every MOT in the last 15 years so It has been on the road all that time.



Nice driver and on the road. owned 15 years. used little in the last few and would benefit from a little TLC or even better return to original colour with a respray or restore to concourse as it deserves.

To sum up – a cheap entry into a good RHD 190SL and it won't be around long at this price. there won't be another RHD at this level either. We have no problem in keeping so no offers please.
