Seller's notes: A-code, Gorgeous color combo, perfect stance, fast and quick, loaded with newer tech to make it stop and turn. The best part is the engine and the sound it makes, but a close second is the stunning interior that looks like a hybrid design from the 2005 Mustang. 18-inch Bullitt wheels were narrowed so that they would right in the wheel wells. This began as an original C-code car with a 289 and a four-speed.

1965 Mustang 2+2 A code
I bought this car as a fully-restored A-code with a 289 4V and four-speed. 14-inch wheels. etc. . and then went to work to make it more drivable with modern suspension components and big brakes. which necessitated larger wheels and real tires. The idea quickly evolved into bringing forward some of the more tasteful design elements of the 2005 Mustang. centering mostly on the interior. I did not want to mess with the exterior of the car at all. The result is a tire-frying Mustang that effortlessly revs to 7. 00 RPM. has rack-and-pinion steering. four-wheel-disk brakes and the famous Griggs Racing GR40 watt's link/coilover rear suspension that ditches the old leaf springs in the back. The car has great “Eleanor”-like lope and sound and people gather when it's parked. The following are the salient points:
ENGINEDynoed at 482 horsepower/440 pound-feet (sheets included with the car). About 550 miles the build. Formerly a 289. replaced with a 331-cubic-inch stroker (based on a 302 block). Comp roller cam. AFR heads. 10:1 CR. March pulley system. aluminum rad. etc. The total cost of the engine program. including dyno time. was $13. 00. The car is scary quick . . .
