1970 Valiant 2 Door Hardtop in St Albans, VIC

It is with great heartache that we put this vehicle up for sale. this was to be the culmination of a lifelong goal.
Up for auction is our 1970 VF Valiant Hardtop Coupe. it is fitted with a 245 c. i. 6 Cyl inline HEMI and a BW35 Automatic transmission and a BW rear end.

18 months ago the trans was completely rebuilt and at the same time the dedicated LPG system installed.

I have also had the front split bench seat totally rebuilt and then had both seats and the door cards newly upholstered in the spiffy colours you see in the photo's.
These colours were chosen to go with the Teal and white body colours that the car was to be completed in.
In regards to the body there are a few areas of concern. being the rear wheel arches. the rear qtr reflectors and some pin holes along the bottoms of the doors.
Other than that areas like the plenum and the floors are still very solid and I'm told rust free.

I have all of the Chrome/Stainless trim that has been removed put away in storage and I have managed to even collect some spare pieces of trim should you want to put a vinyl roof on her.

The car is currently missing the radiator as the vehicle has been sitting for about 12 months and the radiator developed a bad leak on last inspection. It was deemed too far gone to repair and I cannot afford a replacement.
The only other annoying thing is that the rod holding the front seat armrest has decided to become loose. I am currently unable to repair this so I leave that up to you.

You may notice that above the dash there is a genuine VF Pacer Tachometer fitted. this works like a charm and is better than any other store brought unit.

I also have a genuine. but very rough. VF Pacer dash cluster that is in need of refurbishment. This cluster came out of a desert wreck and had been pretty badly sandblasted but it is all there and original.
Also on the glove box is a genuine Pacer badge that was either put on there by the original owner or from factory.

The stereo head unit is just over 2 years old and is a fantastic Pioneer unit complete with all the bells like Direct Ipod Itunes playlist support. BT. mp3. ect. I am happy to leave the unit in there for an extra $250. 00 as I was going to remove it and use it in my my daily. The vehicle came to me without any speakers or a sound unit.

This was a much treasured project but physical injury has meant it must go to a better home. to someone that can do her justice.
