MG : Midget Standard

This car has undergone a recently completed rotisserie restoration. taking four years to complete. The body shell was media blasted clean. the following panels have been replaced. Floors. inner and outer sills. toe boards. left A post inner and outer. right A post lower section. outer halves of the rear wheel arches. rear wheel openings. battery and heater shelf. and the front valance panel.

The cockpit. the underside and inside the trunk have had white gravel guard applied and then painted body color.

The inner panels have been painted with a slightly darker shade of Old English White. The exterior is of a waterborne base with clearcoat. There are a few localized areas of the paint lifting. Not sure what the problem is.

Heritage Certificate and receipts on hand for work done.

The exterior trim is all new except for the door handles and the trunk handle. The windshield frame was cleaned of It's original finish then polished to a nice shine. New windshield and drop glasses. the vent windows are originals. A complete new cloth bound wiring harness was fitted. All lenses are new Lucas originals. the plate lamp a repro. New door. ignition and trunk locks. New steering wheel horn push is original. Toyo Eclipse tires including the spare.

This car carries all of It's original equipment including the engine. transmission. rear axel. steering rack. starter. generator. etc.

I had the radiator chemically cleaned and pressure tested. The front and rear suspension have both been rebuilt including new springs and shocks. spindle bushes rubber components tie rods etc.

Completely rebuilt braking system involving all lines. drums. rotors. master cylinder down to the pedal pads.

Engine properly rebuilt including the starter. generator. distributor and carbs. New clutch with transmission rebuild. New universal joints.

Complete new interior. carpets from Moss. Piping in light grey. correct for the Midget.  The seats and flat panels were re- upholstered locally. The dash was stripped and powder coated in wrinkle black. Looks great. Tach was rebuilt. other gauges original.  

Complete with a Robbin's tonneau this well sorted car has received a top quality restoration with much attention to detail. Everything is as original as it can be. right down to the rubber boot on the headlamp dimmer switch. The top is from the Acme Headlining Co. of California.

This is an as is where is. private sale. I will need a deposit of $1000. 00 USD within 48 hours of the end of the auction. via PayPal. When you come to get your car bring Canadian cash or a bank draft from a chartered Canadian bank.  I will not release it for anything else.
