Was asking more then this but figured give someone a deal. If car Doesn't sell for $2600 I am going to Gasser it. Even though I don't have funds I will get it done somehow. So this is your chance at *$2600. 7 days from now it will be no longer for sale. I have for sale a 1957 Ford Taunus 17m P2 Kombi Estate Wagon. This car is the only 1957 Taunus Wagon in North America and 1 of just a few in the world that is left. This car came from Ford of Germany and was 1 of 14 Taunus's that were shipped to North America. This is the only 57 wagon in N. A. and the most rare of them. There was a few wagons in 60 and rest was sedans of those 14. This car is left hand drive just like any other car in the US. In between 1957-1960 there was 239. 98 Taunus's made in all models (Sedan's. agon's. onvertibles) and only 45. 68 were the Kombi Wagon's total those 4 years the Taunus was made. In 1960 they made 61. 72. In 1959 they made 77. 08. In 1958 they made 81. 33. In 1957 they only made 16. 20. From what I have been reading they roughly made 14. 00 Kombi Wagons each year for the 58. 9. 0 models. They made only around 2800 57 models. The years they made these these cars they didn't use the best metal so there is only a handful of these cars left and I mean not many. I know for a fact like I stated above that this is the only 57 wagon here and from what I have researched over the internet forever I have seen 2 others in Germany but that is it that I have ever found. There is a few 60's wagons like I said above in the US and they are really nice also but like I said they made like 14. 00 ish wagons that year so not even close to being as rare as a 57 at 2800 made. I found a 60 wagon for sale on East Coast that needs to be restored still for 10k. I seen 2 in Germany of the 1960 wagons restored and 1 was $30k Us and other was $39k US. So these cars bring good $ there also and from what I read and researched the 57-60 Taunus's are a very sought after car. After looking at those prices I wonder what the Rare 1957 Wagon would sell for. Unfortunately I have no idea because the only 2 I found were not for sale and owned by people that have big collections and probably will never sell them and just bring em to car shows. So this is your chance to own a rare 1957 Ford Taunus P2 17m Kombi Estate Wagon. Originally I found this car and was going to make a Gasser out of it but then researched on how rare it is and just couldn't do it. So I feel this car would be better in the hands of a collector to be restored back to what it should be because like i said it is the only 57 north american version left and 1 of few left in the whole world and would be a shame to make a hot rod out of. at least that is my take on it. If someone buys it as a Hot Rod I think it would be a awesome one and if you own the car it is your choice to do that but like I said I just couldn't do it. IMO history and restore is more important but like I said I still would think it would be a bad ass Gasser or Rat Rod too. Now about the car . Car is in great shape except for few things. The drivers side quarter has rust on it. Not super bad but will definitely need to be fixed (can see in pics)  Other than that body is solid in and out and underneath etc . Great rockers. floors. runk. under hood. hood. doors. rest of fenders . roof etc they are all good which is insane for a 57 ford taunus wagon . It will need to be sanded here and there and need a complete paint job but what 50's car wouldn't need a paint job. Car has a 1700cc 4 cylinder in it and a 3 speed manual column shift that is all there except for the air cleaner. I have not tried to fire the engine up but it is all there and complete. (except air cleaner). Now for some parts that are missing (still can get parts through internet that I have found) . Parts of the grill are missing . passenger door panel. radio. glove box badge. eft rear ash tray. some of the chrome trim on the body that runs down the side. and the hubcaps. also 2 of the original rims are gone and have been replaced with racing ones. Some of the white interior knobs will need to be replaced also. the red plastic covers on the tail lights are cracked also. Other then the parts I listed which you can still get . The car is basically intact and makes for a more easy restoration then most because the body is real solid and straight. This car was originally from the Montana area so that is why the body is solid and not all rusted out. You may see pictures of this car on the internet from a dealer that helped sell the car for the original owner many years ago. I assure you that it is this car and there isn't another one and I have the car stored inside and some work has been done to it since the old pictures which showed the car was solid then also and I have a Clear Title for it too. The guy I bought the car from bought it from that dealer years ago and had it shipped to Wisconsin where he had every hope and dream of restoring it and then had some really bad health problems come up. So I purchased the car like I said above to make a Gasser out of it to realize that it should be restored and not made into a gasser. (Which really hurt because I have a 500 hp 387 stroker and 2 speed power glide and a 9 inch custom rear end with bars that I wanted to put into it but just couldn't do it so saving that stuff for another project-- The 387 . ower glide and 9 inch rear end DOES NOT COME WITH CAR if you would like to buy it with the car and plan on making a rat rod we can talk but again THE 387 STROKER. OWER GLIDE. 9 INCH REAR END DON"T COME WITH THE CAR IN THIS AUCTION. The original motor and trans comes with the car in this auction. Also I do not have the key but they sell new ignition for $50 on Ebay for it that is exact fit and same so that is nice to know they still sell it.  Like I said the car is an excellent Solid and Straight car for Restoration and would be amazing when done. I think by looking at what these cars sell for in other countries when done a 57 being rarer then the 1960 one that is for sale for 40k restored . I think the 1957 (this one) would sell for 50-80k being how rare it is or even bring more then that. You just aren't going to find one like this anymore and also it is the only 1957 Kombi in the US and the only 1957 Kombi in the world with left side American Steering. One of few 1957 Kombi's left in the world. If I had the $ and the know how to restore this I would never sell it. I would restore it and drive it to car shows because this car restored it unique and a real Head Turner. In my Picture I will post 1 pic of what the car will look like done so you can see how beautiful this car could be and why it needs to be restored.  All the glass is good and there with no cracks. Car comes with Clear Title.

Any questions call 906-236-9520
Also please remember that the 387 stroker. 2 speed power glide and 9 inch rear end do not come with car and NOT PART the sale. . I just talked about what I was going to do originally but couldn't because the car deserves to be restored to original. The car does have the original motor and transmission in it and you will see it in the pics. Also please remember that the pic of the restored Taunus is NOT THE ONE IN THE AUCTION. I just put pic in there so you can see what this car would look like done.
Some of the pictures are when I brought the car from my home garage to my shop that I work out of. Car was outside that day for about 2 hours to make room for it so I could get it in the shop. Car is stored indoors at my shop.
Willing to work with any shipper and willing to deliver within 400 miles (ask me for quote with your location) . Any other questions feel free to ask.
