Triumph : Other TR3

Relisting due to a non-paying bidder that ebay just doesn't want to ever do anything about.


This 1956 Triumph TR3 spent most of its life in New York before being sold about 12 years ago to a guy in Milwaukee. I purchased it and brought it back here to the Kansas City area.
1 of 3700 built in this format with the Lemans cylinder head. It still has drum brakes on the front. It is a car that is fairly complete that needs a restoration.

Believed to be all original matching numbers car. TR3 numbers do not match exactly but rather are always a few hundred from each other. It is an original British Racing Green car.

The car is equipped with an overdrive transmission that was probably added to it later in life.

VEHICLE CONDITION

BODY
It's all here. all in one piece. It will need rust repair in the floors. inner and outer rockers. rear valance below spare tire compartment. and bottom of fenders. The spare tire compartment and trunk are good. The passenger side frame rail has a spot under the right seat that will need repair and the right rear extension behind the rear differential. Both areas are shown in the pics.

INTERIOR
It also seems to be here however I don't believe that these are the original seats and not sure what they came out of. All gauges intact as you can see from the pic of the dash area.

MECHANICAL
The battery is bad but the car can be started with a good battery and an alternate fuel source. Engine sounded good. no knocks or other funny noises. The clutch and brake hydraulics will need overhauled as neither of them are working. This car is equipped with an overdrive transmission. Since it is not driveable. I do not know the condition of the transmission. The car rolls freely and the tires hold air.

TOP
There is an old top that is worthless in the trunk. Top bows seem to be in great shape. Side curtains are here but need restored.

Payment is to be in the form of a $500 non refundable deposit via paypal within 24 hours of auction end. The remaining balance is due within 7 days of auction end.
Please make arrangements for the car to be picked up within 20 days of auction end or a fee of $20 per day will be assessed for storage beginning on day 21. All arrangements for pickup must be made during daylight hours.
