Triumph : TR-6 TR6

Listed for sale is a 1970 Triumph TR6. Car is in nice condition driving extremely well with all lights and electrical in working order. including all the courtesy lights. All the small original items are there including the correct lug wrench and jack. owners manual. trunk board. original brushed aluminum trim rings. seats. panels. gauges. and trim. New and rebuilt parts installed include 5 new tires including the matching spare. front suspension rebuilt with new poly bushings and springs. new sway bar bushings and links. new rear shock links. upper ball joints. new front shocks. tie rod ends and rack gaiters. new wheel bearings. brake rotors. brake lines rebuilt calipers. and new rotors. rear brake cylinders. shoes. hardware. drums turned. Rebuilt carburetors. new pertronix electronic ignition with rebuilt distributor. new tune up parts an valves set. new green hose set completely thru the heater. rebuilt transmission. new Robbins Convertible top. New interior rug kit. New Fuel Tank. new lap seat belts. and various other items that I'm sure I have forgot.   The TR6 just passed Missouri car safety inspection which is a very inclusive list of items.

Engine runs and start very well with no knocks. ticks. or smoking. No drips or oil leaks. Oil pressure maintains from 30 psi to 75 psi when hot. Car starts instantly with the choke and idles very smooth at 7-800 rpm with choke in. All fluids. oils and filters are new including new anti freeze and Castrol brake fluid. Transmission has just been rebuilt and has no more then 2-3 hundred miles since installation. Exhaust is not new but in very good condition. Differential is quite.

Body is in really good condition with no rust in the rockers or floorboards. No rust in three of the 4 fenders.  Some very minor bubbling in the left rear upper corner of the right rear fender. Paint is decent although it probably looks better in the pictures then it actually is. that seems to always be the case. Some minor chips and flaws. All the exterior trim including the bumpers are in really nice condition with no pitting. Lights and lenses are intact. working and undamaged. Convertible top frame is in really nice condition with a new Robbins zipper rear window top. just installed. Carpets have just been installed and like the top have absolutely no wear. Seats are average with the covers needing attention at some point. Dash is nice. All the gauges are correct and in working order.

So why am I selling such a nice old car??  My 54 year old best friend passed away very suddenly and unexpected. a short time ago just as we made the car a dependable driver with the intention of carrying on with the cosmetic end of things. I am selling it for my friend's mother who is older and has no interest in the car.  My wife and I. nbsp;have several British cars in our collection. but I just can't get myself to buy this one. don't really want to see it every time I go to the garage.
