The Alfa Romeo Giulia Berlinas. introduced in 1962. may at first
glance seem like a rather square motor car. Look more carefully;
the Giulia 'disegnata il vento' (designed by the wind) was actually
one of the most drag efficient motor cars of its time. In fact. br/>when released. the drag coefficient was the same as the
contemporary Porsche 911. Take a closer look and you will find few
square lines; discover the spoilers built into the roof and boot
lid. Those swage lines on each side of the roof. wings and doors
are there for a reason and not just for show. No wonder the
'Alfisti' consider the Giulia Berlina as one of the finest Alfa
Romeos of the period.

We are pleased to offer this UK registered right hand drive Giulia
1. 6 Super which was owned from 1987 to 2003 by a Mr. Scheidweiler
of London. during which the engine was overhauled by J & R
Goodchild of South Croydon. In 2000 the body was restored by the
well respected Alfa Romeo specialist 'RM Restorations' and the
finish applied by 'Touring Superleggera' of London. Many
works and upgrades are a feature of this car; they include a Harvey
Bailey handling kit. the engine converted to run on unleaded fuel. br/>Colombo camshafts. twin coils. a sump guard. a stainless steel
exhaust system. an electric thermostatically operated fan and
electric screen washers. The interior is fitted with Alfa Romeo 156
seats that incorporate headrests. the original re-trimmed seats are
in fine order and will be available with the car. A Willans harness
is fitted to the driver's seat with the original inertia belt also
available for use. A Russian hand wound aviation clock is a
feature. Externally. the coachwork. finished in bianca spina has
some areas of paint imperfections. however. the Giulia still looks
good since its repaint many years ago. On a recent test. the Super
performed and handled very well.

Complete with a UK registration document. original service coupon
and service books and MoT test certificate valid until December
2014. this Giulia Super is surely going to give a lot of pleasure
to any new owner and especially given the low estimate.
