According to the Alfa Romeo archive. this Giulia Sprint GT
Velocé was manufactured on the 3rd August 1966 and supplied to Alfa
Romeo Ltd. London on the 10th August 1966. The car was then
supplied by the Alfa Romeo dealership Mangoletsi in Knutsford. br/>Cheshire and first registered to a Mr Cyril Donald Bradshaw of
Rainow near Macclesfield. Yorkshire on 24th February 1967. The car
subsequently passed to Mr Bradshaw's wife. then to his son and then
back to Mr Bradshaw in 1991 and then kept by him until sold in
2009; effectively in the same family ownership for 42 years.


The current owner purchased OPB 39E in December 2009 and has
enjoyed the Alfa Romeo for weekend trips and local car shows whilst
at other times maintaining the car to a high level. To support
this. invoices within the history file record many items purchased
by the current owner from one of the leading Alfa Romeo
specialists. Classic Alfa. Importantly it is worthy to note that. br/>more recently. maintenance items fitted have included a new exhaust
and brake reservoir. Also within the file. an old style green log
book records the first owner and his wife and a comprehensive
history file records many invoices for works and parts. In
addition. the 1967 Mangoletsi original service coupon book is
stamped with seven entries up until 1971. There is also an original
Instruction Book. Instruction Book Supplement and Service
Guides.
Believed to have been refinished at some time in the past. this
exceptionally well preserved right hand drive Sprint GT Velocé
looks resplendent with its Alfa Romeo rosso coachwork. skai trim
with red carpets and is complimented by the 15 inch Alfaholics
alloy wheels. The Velocé also benefits from the addition of a
Dynalite alternator that gives the benefits of an alternator with
the original looks of the dynamo. Uprated headlamps improve
visibility at night. The car will arrive at the sale with a UK
registration document (V5). the history file. the original wheels
and hub caps and an MoT test certificate that is valid until
October 2015.


With many of these step fronted models having been converted into
GTA replicas. it is refreshing to find one in such fine condition
and with it being a Velocé it benefits from the more powerful
engine than the earlier Sprint GT model. This surely represents an
ideal opportunity for the Alfa Romeo connoisseur.
