Lotus : Other base coupe 2-door.

This is a very nice 1969 lotus Europa S2. Type 54

Equipped with Renault 1565 cc Engine.

It currently runs and drives and is licensed in CA. I am using this car for shopping and commuting every day. 　The powertrains (engine. transmission. clutch and brakes) are very good condition. No white smoke from engine. The cooling and charging systems work great. The engine number dose matches the VIN plate and appears to be original to the car. It start essay and very strong with no major leaks or problems. It has a weber two barrel DGV carb. Brake work excellent and are nearly new. parking brake work. The clutch works excellent and the 4 speed gearbox shifts nicely through all gears. (No synchronizer problems) Clutch cable was replaced to new one in this spring.

I've replaced the following parts this year.

Aluminum Radiator

Muffler system (except the exhaust manifold)

Clutch cable

Head gasket

Water pump

Water temperature sensor

There are lots of the typical cosmetic lotus stress paint crack in fiberglass body and also lots of chips. scratches. no gloss and touch ups. 　

It has some modifications. It has two fuel tanks (Non original for an S2).

There are no door handles (Shaving Door handle). The doors open electrically from a hidden switch in the recess of the back window. From the inside a push button on the center console opens the doors.   Both door alignments are slightly down. adjustments will be required. It has non opening tinted sunroof. (No leaking)The original turn signals have been removed from the front of the car and the turn signals are now built into the front wing mirrors where they work quite well. This gives the front of the car an S1 appearance. The interior is good conditions (Seats. door panel. dashboard and console) except peeling of the headliner. The lights. wipers. horn. turn signals. power windows and gauges all work. The windscreen has some de-laminating and a slight wiper scratch but no cracks or large chips. All the other glass is good.

The tires are good condition (Kumho 155/80R13). There is no spare wheel/tire.

It has adjustable shocks on back. The steering and suspension are excellent and the car rides and drives very nicely.

I drove it to Oxnard this weekend 220 miles round trip was a pleasure to drive.

It has a clear title and currently licensed in California.
