Finished in Primrose Yellow with Black Leather Upholstery and Black Wool Carpets. Black Mohair Hooding.
Little Introduction is needed for the Icon that is the Jaguar E Type Convertible and this example does the marque incredible justice.
The History of the car starts when it was originally exported to America in 1969. Repatriated from a Dry State to UK Shores in 1990 the car underwent light re-commissioning and was used lightly until the late Nineties when it was converted to RHD by marque specialists M&C Wilkinson of Doncaster.
A new Mohair Hood was fitted in 1999 by Suffolk & Turley and in 2000 the Engine had a Full Rebuild and an Unleaded Conversion by another top name. RS Panels of Nuneaton.
The Car was maintained regardless of cost and regularly used completing many Classic Tours both in the UK and on the continent never missing a beat.
In 2007 the Jaguar was purchased by the last custodian who commissioned a bare metal repaint. various minor visual alterations were undertaken to bring fully upto UK spec and had the original interior re-trimmed in Black Leather and new carpet fitted by a Top Marque Specialist.
Refurbishment works were completed in 2009 and since then the car has been a regular sight around our local villages being driven on dry days by its enthusiast owner. Being used as the manufacture intended this Jaguar is a Joy to behold and I have never become bored with seeing the car amidst its many local back drops from the Local Butcher to the Village Green Pub on a Sunday - I have discussed the car with the owner on many an occasion and with a beer in hand its presence seems so British and Summertime !! - I have to say I never thought that the Owner would sell but spending more and more time in a Warmer Climate it has been decided that the Car should really be passed on to another enthusiast who can continue to keep the E Type exercised - I will be sad not to see this car in the locality but that is off course assuming that it doesn't stay local !!
The Car today presents itself as a rare balance between perfection and patina. and if that sounds like a contradiction in terms I can only add that all works look like they have been undertaken to the highest of standards and I can see no damage as such just a level of fading with use - basically it doesn't look like its "been got at "!
The Jaguar drive wonderfully and benefits from having been used. maintained and tweaked on a regular basis . the car would look at home quite frankly in any garage of collection where the cars are used - Genuinely quite hard to find like this !
We have our own Workshops and would be happy to Fully Service & MOT the Car to Customer Requirements prior to delivery.
