For sale is a classic and hard to find. CJ5 with a factory V8. This Jeep is in great condition for a truck this old. It could be driven every day. or restored back to mint condition. The nicest thing about it is that it is unmolested. Meaning it has the factory V8 (not a Chevy conversion). factory 4 speed (most had 3 speeds) still has factory wiring without lights and stereos hacked into it. etc. It even has the original seats and factory paint with Renegade graphics. Its is pretty much in the same shape it was in 1980 with less than normal wear and tear. Here is the run down.
THE GOOD: All original classic. Tons of new parts. (See below) Runs and drives perfect. Start it up and go. Registered and inspected.      New parts include: Tires. springs. shocks. steering system components like tie rods etc. nbsp;professionally rebuilt transmission with about 20 miles on it. ignition system. fuel system. nbsp;carburetor.                      and more.
THE BAD: Gas gauge doesn't work. seats are starting to crack.
THE UGLY: Couple of dents on right fender and hood (See pictures) Rust on lower windshield frame. (repairable or replaceable. No rust on Jeep. only on windshield frame)
THE STORY: Everyone always asks why you are selling and whats wrong with it so I will tell you. I am a high school Automotive Technology Instructor and I am also a custom classic car builder.  I purchased this Jeep from a friend of mine to restore it because I knew it was pretty much in an unmolested factory state. I also knew that he had put a lot of money and work into the underside and had pretty much replaced all the tires. the steering and chassis parts and I would have to do very little to it. It was a perfect Jeep to restore. It had been sitting for quite some time so the fuel tank had bad gas in it. etc. So I dropped the tank. cleaned it out. replaced the fuel lines. filter . arburetor. etc. I also replaced the ignition system. Plugs. cap. rotor. nbsp;ignition module. etc. It was in great shape so I registered and inspected it and have been driving it around. Because it is so clean and so original with its funky paint and graphics and I pretty much only build custom classic stuff. I decided to sell it instead of putting a lift kit. big tires. painting it a flashy color with leather seats. stereo. etc. So. I am just selling it as is and am going to use the money on my other project (1972 Blazer) I have in the shop ahead of this one.  Basically it just sits in my shop and takes up space.  I drive it once in a while but would like to sell it to someone who appreciates an original classic without modifications and use the space and money on my Blazer.
