1980 Porsche 911SC
I have been selling classic cars here on eBay since 2003. 12 years now. with around 500 classic cars sold over the internet. with 100% Feedback. What I love about these old cars. is that I get to own some of my favorite cars one at a time. I have turned this passion into a business. but for me it is an awesome time to enjoy the cars themselves. It has been such a joy to do business with people all over the world. "Ralf" spent many years in dry southern Idaho. and was brought to Oregon last year. Here in the Northwest we are known for a very cool summers. and mild winters. here in the Northwest. we do no Salt the roads. and we do not have the rust issues like other parts of the country. We have some of the nicest original cars in the country and it shows. This car has had one respray in the early 1990's. it had a complete color change from a light blue. to the Champagne Beige color you see on it today. I am not sure its technical Porsche color. but it is a Porsche color. It is a beautiful color. it has an excellent gloss to it and was done very well as you will see. There are a few chips that have been touched up. a couple light scatches. but overall for paint that is over 20 years old. it looks awesome. You will take it to any car show. or field met. and have the time of your life with it. The body is very straight down the sides. no rolls or ripples in the doors quarter panels. very clean. Inside the fenders. and quarter panels. there are no signs of any accidents. or any repairs. The inner wheel tubs very clean. exactly what you want to see on a vintage Porsche. The front nose. and rear taillight pane are accident free. I show tons of pictures inside and out. it is a very impressive car when it comes to its structure. There are 2 very light indents on the drivers fender. on the inside behind the headlight. a paintless ding guy maybe able to smooth them out. but overall the rest of the car is laser straight. The gaps in all the panels are very nice on the car. all the doors. hood. deck lid shut very nice. It has an Original Porsche 930 Whale Tail on it. which is in very nice condition. The car shows a little exterior wear. obviously from being 35 years old. but it looks excellent. this is a car that you will want to park way out in a parking lot obviously. very clean 911's are getting hard to find. the market on these car are rapidly going up in value right now. I would buy every SC I have had in the past for more then what I sold them for. these cars are the best of both worlds when it comes to vintage air cooled Porsche's. these are true drivers.
The interior is in great shape for original. Original seats. have a little light wear. but in good shape. good padding. and feel very comfortable. The stitching is in great shape. no rips or tears. just aged a little. but nice. The dash pad is excellent no cracks. very clean. It has an aftermarket radio in it. which is not working currently. The carpet is decent. has a little age. but still nice enough were I would not change it. very clean. This is NON smoker car as well. and is very pleasant inside. The door panels are in nice original shape as well. no rips or tears in them. Overall the interior for its age. for being original equipment is in excellent shape. When it comes to some vintage cars. especially European classics. I prefer nice original interior. even with small flaws. in my thinking it is much better then a bunch of reproduction stuff. The only alteration inside. is that they changed the gauge faces to a bronze. which looks really nice. to match the color of the car. but easy to change back if you like in the future. This car has been equipped with a Rare K40 Radar System. you can see it below the gauges. and the small perforations in the front bumper for the radar itself. All the glass is in nice shape. the windshield does not have any cracks. and is nice and clear. but it does have a small chip below the wiper on the drivers side that has been repaired. The Targa top is in nice shape as well. no rips or tears. The window rubber seals. and targa seals. have a little age. but they look like they are in decent shape on the car. a little weather checked. which is to be expected for this vintage of car. This car has Power Windows. which work good. but the passenger side. can get a little sticky at time. probably needs to come apart and cleaned a little bit. the switch and connections might need to be cleaned. it has stopped working a few times since I have had it. but then a few minutes later it works. so must be a contact of some sorts. Overall very nice original interior.
The engine is the original 3. 0 to the car. with 930 part number. and ID 6400288. and Gear Box is the original 915/63 5spd unit. The engine runs very good. it does not burn any oil and does not blow smoke It has been upgraded with the Pop off valve. and Hydraulic Cam Chain tensioners you can see both these in the auction photos. with the cam tensioners being feed by external oil lines. a very important upgrade for these 911SC cars. The engine runs very nice. idles suburb. It recently has had new injectors. and had the fuel distributor rebuilt. mechanically the engine is very sound. sounds good. very good power. The engine only has 107K on it. it is a low mileage car. I do not have a bunch of service records on the car. there was some at some point. but a previous owner passed away and records got misplaced. wish I had them. but not really anthing I can do about it. I do have the original owners manual and cover and a few receipts but nothing major. The engine does run very good though. and has no current issues. The only thing I can say. nbsp; which you already know about vintage Air Cooled Porsche's and VW's. is yes it has a few minor oil leaks. that hit the ground. nothing major. but there are a few small drips when it is sitting. engine has never been out of the car. It is nothing that I would address right now. but it does have a few. I think when they were new. they dripped on the show room floor. just like an hold Harley. The gear box is in good shape. it shifts through the gears very nice. it does not pop out of gear. everything stays real tight. shifter feels good and not sloppy. The clutch feels great. no chatter. very smooth. The axles are in good shape. and axle boots look good. This is a very dependable vintage Porsche. that you can hop in and start right up. it idles nicely. does not miss. just needs a new owner. that can service it. and enjoy it. This car does have Air Conditioning. It does work. it is all hooked up. it cycles on and off like it should. no strange noises. the clutch feels sounds good in AC unit. It might need a recharge. or better yet switched to the newer 134A. It does blow cold. but it could be a lot colder. it has been some time since it has been recharged. I can feel the cool coming out of the vents. I can feel the bottom lower AC line and it is cool as well. Does it need little things here and there mechanically. answer is yes. it is a Porsche. but nothing in major repair right now. just general service and such. for the time being just drive and enjoy it like it was built to do. The brakes are in good shape. 4 wheel disc brakes all the way around. seem to be in good shape. pads are getting worn. and you might want to do them in the near future. but no worries if you don't get to them right away. I would say they were at about 30-40% for looking. The wheels are 16x6 and 16x7. staggered original FUCHS. not reproductions. I just put on new Cooper Zeon RS3-A tires front and back. they have 10 miles on them currently. it has 205/55/16 in the front and 245/50/16 in the rear. they look very nice on the car. and still carry warranty with Cooper and Americas Tire/Discount Tire.

Very clean dash. no cracks. or warping.
Original seats. with original covers. stitching is in nice shape. no rips or tears.
Nice original door panels. Notice as well. this car has power windows.
Very nice inner door jams. no signs of any accidents. the doors hang nicely. no sagging. everything is very tight.
Very nice original steering wheel. hard to find. many of these got aftermarket Momo wheels at some point.
Gauge faces were replaced. to color code the outside paint. you can replace them if you like. but I am starting to like them.
Horn works.
Gas gauge works. Oil Gauge. Temp gauge all working. Notice the rare original K40 radar detector. I have never used. br> you can also see in next pictures. the sensor in front bumper.
Tach works. the clock is not working currently.
Aftermarket radio is not currently working. needs to be updated.
Air Conditioning. nbsp; It does work. it is all hooked up. it cycles on and off like it should. no strange noises. the clutch feels
sounds good in AC unit. It might need a recharge. or better yet switched to the newer 134A. It does blow cold. but it could be a
lot colder. it has been some time since it has been recharged. I can feel the cool coming out of the vents. I can feel the

Engine ID: 64002088 6-6cyl. 4-3. 0l. 0-1980. 02088 Consecutive Unit. For some who may not know. the Engine ID number does not
match the VIN number. they are 2 seperate numbers. This is a the original 1980 911SC engine.
Original Numbers Matching 915/63 transmission. #7400193.
All exterior lights are working. even the fog lamps.
I get to own some of my favorite cars one at a time. this is my dealer plate. so it stays with me.
