Hi and welcome to the add for my classic minivan.

She is registration number XVF212H born on 17th July 1970. purchased by a company Duff Morgan of Triumph House. Norwich a motor factors company who purchased it for vehicle parts delivery.

The only driver. as far as I can ascertain was Derick William Barnard who was an employee of the company and treated the car as his own. maintaining it to a very high standard throughout. At some point the company changed the paintwork from its original Grey(as it is now) to white with a blue coachline .

On 12th August 1974 Mr. Barnard purchased the car from the company for the priceley sum of £152. 78 plus 8% VAT (that would be nice again). making a total of £165. 00.

He kept the car as it was and looked after it. keeping it original and garaged constantly.

After his death. his son Alan William Barnard became the owner keeping it garaged and subsequently I purchased it from him last September and put it straight in for a respray and to restore back to its original glory. getting it back two weeks ago.

The car was well looked after and mechanically the engine and mechanics are perfect. very quiet and smooth A series engine and gearbox. and although only a 998cc. pulls well and is smooth on the road. My other old minis seemed like driving a shopping trolley most of the time but this car. maybe because it is the estate is smoother.

Mechanically. apart from a service. new brake cylinders. brake actuator and general consumables she has needed little else. Bodywork wise. she has had new front wings. new A panels inner and outer. new rear bumpers (she has a tow bar). all window rubbers and slides and a full several coat respray in original colour.

Everything works as it should and she is MOT'd until 26th March 2015 with no advisories and a mileage of 69000.

She is not concourse nor best in show but I am not asking £25000 plus but I would suggest in very very good condition. near mint with known history. She is as far as I and the company restoring know. rust free except for a small amount on engine bulkhead. engine bay being original.

Inside the front seats are red leather. from a later mini and much more comfortable than the original seats (see photos) with nice wooden dash. She turns heads where ever she goes. but sadly needs to go so I can fund the absolute total restoration of a 1960 Mini7 van I have. 1 owner but left in garden for 25 years and requiring a total nut and bolt rebuild. which I fear will cost me a small fortune but will be worth it.

Mini vans seem to go for anything from £3-4000 for a rusty old shell needing complete restoration. to about £15000 for a good van with asking prices up to £25000+ for very early models. Most are later late 1970s-early 1980s. Those of the 1960s and early 1970s (HISTORIC FREE TAX)command the best prices. The most expensive sold at Birmingham last year for £47000!!!. (But again was a very early. totally original with only 300 miles).

I am asking £10500 for this little beauty which is. I believe. a very good investment for someone. The interior rear still needs carpeting and the original radio has just packed up. They are increasing greatly in value. becoming rarer and can only go up.

I attach lots of photos taken outside Pinewood Studio's entrance before the security moved me on. The engine bay is original and all build numbers are there. I have not yet. but will. apply for the Heritage Certificate.

She starts runs and drives perfectly. Great little car. If interested please call me on 07976352236
