 Hello. /p>

This is an original 1958 Oldsmobile 98 Holiday Hardtop.    If you are into time survivor original cars. then this might be the car for you.   She has 50. 83 original miles !!!!  Factory 'Surf Green' with white top. It also has a really rare and cool Jade Green color on the rims which is now painted new on the outer rims. but still factory on the spare in the trunk.   I also had the correct Grey painted on the inside of the rims.

Brief History :

This car was sold new in San Antonio Texas. and was with the same owner until I picked it up a 2 years ago.    It was driven only on fishing trips and vacations until 1974.   The owner fell ill and later died in 1976.   It sat from 1974 in the same mall wooden garage until I picked it up.    All I have really done to the car is give it a wash and put new correct tires on it and had the rims blasted and painted the original color.   The spare tire is in the trunk and doesn't look like it was used much.   It still smells like 1958 inside.    I have the original Dealer invoice. Dealer sleeve/envelope. and other original paperwork to the car.   It has the last original inspection sticker still in the window ( 1969 ). original owners manual. and lots of cool odds/ends I found in the car.   It even has the original license plate.    It only had one on the front as it had a trailer hitch on the back and he used the license plate area.    The hitch is still on it.   No mice ever got in this car so you don't have that type of smell or damage.

Interior :

All original seats. dash ( which looks NOS ). carpet. rubber floormats ( rears say 'Oldsmobile'  ). door panels. etc.   The only thing I know was replaced was the headliner and visors. I was told these were common to go bad in the first 5-7 years so makes sense.   It has one split in a seam in the front seat. a few stains in back seat. and other flaws like some strands missing in carpet. but it's original and not restored.

Exterior :

Like a true Texas car it has no 'real' rust.   It has places that rock chips have become surface rust. but zero through rust.   Due to the paint having so many chips you would want to paint it for perfection. but it would probably polish out to a decent driver.     There is one crease in the 1/4 on the pass side where the tire blew and bent the lower corner and rocker molding.   There is a pic.    Bumpers would both need to be chromed but good donors.   Typical pitting with the worse pitting being the bumpers.   Most stainless is in awesome shape.   Chrome on taillight housings is typical pitted heavy in lower bottom part.

I just put a set of BF Goodrich Silvertown 900-14s put on the car.   I had the original rims blasted and repainted the correct Jade Green from the factory.

2 out of the 4 hubcaps are good.   2 are beat up.   I'm also missing about 8 clips for the hubcaps.    Fender antenna mast is broken.

The underside is rust free and typical of being a Texas car it's whole life.

All the glass is in great shape and not a ton of bubbling corners and all that. Very presentable.

Original front hook lip molding is beat up. I have an extra that goes with car you can have redone.   It's not great but in better shape.

Motor and Transmission :

I have never tried to turn the motor over and don't plan on it so don't ask me too.   I did use and inspection camera and all the cylinders looked good. but when I did try to do it with a breaker bar it did not budge.   I have since poured in . arvel mystery oil and it is soaking as I type this. I will leave it up to the new owner but view this as you will be refreshing the motor.    The oil was clean and the carb linkage and all that move great.    Tranny fluid is clean.

Options :

It has factory Air Conditioning.    Two of the AC lines in the front of the radiator were cut off. I have no idea why but I have a friend that will sell these two you in good shape for $ 550. 00. This is both lines needed.

It has power windows which all work and go up and down nice. The only thing is I had to take off the kick panel to access the relay and apply 12V directly to it.    That's the only way they work so probably a bad relay.

Power seat makes noise and only moved a couple times. It needs taken apart and greased.

Day / Night mirror.

Power steering and Power brakes.

Other items :

Keep in mind. I have done nothing else to this car so it will need all the things you can think of - Brakes. fluids. exhaust. etc etc etc.   I have not had it running or driving.

When I did put a batter in it all the lights worked. dash. rear brake lights. headlights ( still has three T3 headlights in it ). and blinkers.

Keys are original and everything locks and unlocks correctly.

Original spare in trunk. original jack and tire iron. and spare hold down nut.

Inside the trunk all the cardboards are in nice shape as is the trunk mat.   Not perfect for sure. but its original !

Good luck on the auction and feel free to contact me with offers as I will be selling it locally as well.

All local inspections are welcome.

Deposit of $ 2000 is due within 24 hrs after auction close. Remainder is due within 4 days or whenever the car is picked up.    Whichever comes first.

Again. this car is an original so it's not perfect.   You would need to restore it for perfection if that's what your into.
