Triumph : TR-6

The TR6 was Triumph's best selling sports car.  Prior to the TR7. The front and back ends were squared off. reportedly based on a consultancy contract involving Karmann. This is referred to as a Kamm tail. which was very common during 1970s era of cars and a feature on most Triumphs. The body shape was similar to the TR4/TR5 except for the rear and front.

TR6 sports cars featured inline six-cylinder engines. carbureted with 104 hp. This car has the optional overdrive. The TR6 features a four-speed manual transmission and has the optional overdrive unit which is a desirable feature because it gives drivers close gearing for aggressive driving with an electrically switched overdrive which operates on 3rd and 4th gear. This provides "long legs" for open motorways. TR6 also featured semi-trailing arm independent rear suspension. rack and pinion steering. 15-inch (380 mm) wheels and tires. pile carpet on floors and trunk/boot. bucket seats. and a full complement of instrumentation. Braking is accomplished by disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. TR6 construction is the old-fashioned body bolted onto a frame. The dashboard is a wooden veneer.

With only one  owner. this automobile is ready for you. This is a garage kept vehicle. The engine runs. The overall condition of this vehicle's exterior is above average. There is a minimal amount of wear on the interior. The mileage represented on this vehicle is accurate. Car needs a brake master cylinder. and tires (the tires are the origional tires). Clutch does have minimal slipage.   This car has the origional tonneau & boot cover in excellent condition and includes some service records. the origional owners manual and warranty papers.

Payment Terms: The successful high bidder will submit a $500 refundable deposit within 3 business days of the close of the auction to secure the vehicle. Buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due (plus applicable fees and taxes) within 7 days of the close of the auction or at time of pickup if less than 7 days. All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle.

Fees and Taxes: Financing may be available BUT get pre-approved prior to bidding. On the 4th day Seller has the right to sell or relist vehicle. Trade-ins are NOT accepted on eBay cars. At the time of delivery Maryland buyers must pay all tax. title and license fees. Out of state buyers are responsible for tax. title and license fees in their home state.

Buyers are responsible for shipping costs and fees. All vehicles are FOB Baltimore. MD. Any shipping expenses are the responsibility of the buyer.

Buyer Pickup: Buyers may be picked up by our staff at BWI. the Baltimore Buss Terminal or Train Station. Buyers will not be reimbursed for any fees or charges incurred if he/she chooses other forms of customer pickup (taxi. shuttle. bus. etc. ).
