Please look at the photos of my 1968 Daimler 250 v8 carefully. it looks far better in real life. I think this is the most sought after. & best-looking colour combination of Silver metallic paintwork with an original red leather interior.  I urge you to come & view this car if you can; it's by far one of the nicest ones out there. The mileage is showing 46. 20. which i believe to be incorrect. however it has only had two previous owners. I purchased it from the second who had dry stored the car for over 10 years. judging by the good condition of the leather & the underside. Obviously the car has had a full paint restoration. reputedly in around 2006. & it certainly was an good job- the paint finish & shine is very nice. & the whole body is in very good condition. with no rust or damage- the sills are perfect. & fully painted underneath. The underside is completely solid & very original- floors. inner sills & chassis rails are solid & very straight. nbsp;nice & original. so clean. nbsp;not the usual patched-up affair.  The door gaps are good. & all four doors & the boot & bonnet shut so nicely. The chrome-work is superb all round. as can be seen in the photos.

The interior is a very fine place to be- the leather is original & in good condition (45 years old!). I fitted a genuine E Type steering wheel and boss. you can have the original one if you like too. All the door trims are excellent. as is the wood. Many mk2 Jags & Daimlers end up with a horrible vinyl dash top. so it's nice to see the original wooden one looking so good. The carpets are very good. with a new set of red carpet over mats. Windows are scratch free. All dials work as they should. & there's a very nice. Pioneer stereo system fitted with four speakers. all hidden and professionally installed. the original equipment comes with the car. All dials work well (apart from the clock) as do the dash lights (including the map light). New door seals have been fitted. keeping road & wind noise to a minimum.

The V8 engine fires up eagerly on full choke. quickly settling to a very smooth & quiet idle. It always starts so easily. if it's been stood for weeks or hours. there's always plenty of power in the battery. & she fires into life without hesitation- the carbs have been rebuilt & set-up perfectly.  Oil pressure is very good. & the water temperature stays where it should (the heater also works well).  There are invoices present for over £4500 for work carried out just 200 miles ago. that's just in parts. the labour was also considerable too - this includes both cylinder heads being refurbished (new valves. guides etc). carbs rebuilt with all new parts. fuel tank. new fuel pump. water pump. nbsp;new brakes. pads & discs. new upper & lower ball joints. new tie rods. new rear springs & seats. suspension set-up. plus many other items (hoses. belts. plugs etc. ). Engage 'drive' on the column change & she whisks you up the road nicely. with a wonderful v8 burble from her twin exhausts. The gearbox changes nicely. & the all important kick down works perfectly. The power steering also aids in making this car an absolute delight to drive. working well with no noises. (not all Daimler 250's benefit from this luxury) and the work on the suspension previously mentioned has paid off- she feels great & handles very well.  The wire wheels & chrome spinners are in superb condition. & all four tyres have not covered over 100 miles having been fitted along with the new wheels last summer. It was MOT'd last Saturday and had no advisories and passed first time. The road tax as I'm sure you are aware is £0 per year. I do have a box of spares. all new. that weren't used when it was recommissioned last year. which come with the car.

Also included is a full original workshop manual & handbook. all in great condition.

So there you have it. If you're seriously looking for a great example of one of the most stylish & iconic classic British saloons. your search is over. The reserve is realistic. & if it sells at that figure. the winner will have the bargain of the month & a very fine investment.  Viewing welcome anytime. days or evenings.

Please call Steve on 01737 555899 or 07919032086 to arrange a viewing.

Cash or bank transfer on collection. Many thanks.
